Maracatu em Curitiba : um estudo sobre identidade cultural em novos contextos

Abstract

Resumo : A presente pesquisa tem como proposta compreender o que motivou integrantes de Grupos Percussivos de maracatu na prática musicaldeste ritmo característico do nordeste brasileiro no sul do país. Visto que este ritmo, além de fazer parte da identidade cultural pernambucana, também possui uma forte relação com religiões de matrizes africanas, como os grupos de maracatu nação em Pernambuco, identificando um campo de estudocom potencial de pesquisa sobre o tema. Para isto, será utilizada uma metodologia interdisciplinar apoiada na Etnomusicologia dialógica, a partir da história do maracatu e sobre a forma como este saiu de seu estado natal, o Pernambuco e chegou na cidade de Curitiba, relacionando esta transição cultural com uma análise sobre novas identidades na contemporaneidade.A pesquisa será realizadaincialmente, por meio de levantamento bibliográfico e entrevistas com integrantes de grupos de maracatu da cidade de Curitiba.

Abstract: This research, has the proposal to understand what motivated members of the percussive groups of maracatu in the musical practice of this typical rhythm of the northeast of Brazil, in the south part of the country. Given that this rhythm, beyond being a part of the Pernambucan cultural identity, it also has a strong relation with religions of African roots, such as maracatu Nação groups in Pernambuco, indentifying a field of study with research potential on the subject. For this purpose, an interdisciplinary methodology supported by dialogic ethnomusicology will be used, based on the form that it left its native state, Pernambuco, and got to the city of Curitiba, relating this cultural transition with an analysis on new identities in contemporary times. The research will be carried out initially, by means of bibliographical survey and interviews with members from maracatu groups from de city of the Curitiba.
