Abstract

Resumo : O presente trabalho analisa a trilha musical do filme O senhor dos anéis: a sociedade do Anel, verificando a utilização da técnica composicional de motivos recorrentes (leitmotiv) e demonstra como a utilização dessa técnica, somado à utilização da música de caráter empático, é capaz de auxiliar a narrativa e dramaticidade fílmica, servindo de sugestão/intensificação emocional do visual, complementando a contextualização e dramatização da narrativa fílmica. O objetivo geral do trabalho é o de demonstrar a carga dramática e o auxílio narrativo que a música composta por Shore traz ao filme. Os objetivos específicos, são de analisar a música como elemento dramático e narrativo, suas sugestões emocionais e analisar, através dos estudos de Juslin (2019), o valor acrescentado que a trilha musical tem na sugestão de emoções em conjunto com o visual, auxiliando a percepção do espectador. Esse estudo foi feito a partir da transcrição e da análise dos principais temas musicais e trechos de efeito empático apresentados no filme O senhor dos anéis: a sociedade do Anel. E como resultado, demonstro como o efeito empático, somado à pesquisa de Juslin, intensificam as emoções trazidas pelo visual

Abstract : The present project analyzes the musical of The lord of the rings: the fellowship of the Ring, verifying the use of the compositional technique of recurrent motifs (leitmotiv) and demonstrates as the use of this technique, combined with the use of empathic music, is capable of assisting narrative and film dramaticity, serving as an emotional suggestion/intensification of the visual, complementing the contextualization and dramatization of the film narrative. The general objective is to demonstrate the dramatic characteristics and the narrative support that the music written by Shore brings to the movie. The specific objectives are to analyze music as a dramatic and narrative element, its emotional suggestions and analyze, through the studies made by Juslin (2019), the added value that the musical track has on the emotions suggestions together with the visual, assisting the perception of the viewer. This study was made from the transcription and analysis of the main musical themes and excerpts of empathic effect presented in the film The lord of the rings: the fellowship of the Ring.
