A voz de Mercedes Sosa (1935-2009) : aspectos musicais e extramusicais

Abstract

Resumo : Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar os aspectos musicais e extramusicais da intérprete argentina Mercedes Haydee Sosa (1935-2009), especificamente dos anos 1950, quando ela iniciou sua carreira, até a sua volta do exílio, em 1982. O intuito é compreender como uma mulher de origem indígena, humilde, latino-americana e mãe solo alcançou um lugar de destaque como cantora e influenciadora em diversas partes do mundo. O projeto está apoiado na metodologia etnomusicológica dialógica de John Blacking (1975), nas pesquisas bibliográficas sobre a vida de Mercedes Sosa e no conceito de canto popular de Luiz Tatit (1996)

Abstract : This work aims to find and analyze the musical and extra-musical aspects of the Argentinean interpreter Mercedes Haydee Sosa (1935-2009), specifically from the 1950s, when she started her career, until her return from the exile in 1982. The aim is to understand how a woman of indigenous origin, humble, Latin American and a single mother reached a prominent place as a singer and influencer in different parts of the world. The project is supported by John Blacking's (1975) dialogic ethnomusicological methodology, bibliographical research on Mercedes Sosa's life and Luiz Tatit's (1996) concept of popular singing
