AIMSSEC : um estudo do programa educacional sul-africano aplicado à realidade brasileira

Abstract

Resumo : Neste trabalho, apresentamos o programa educacional internacional AIMSSEC (African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Schools Enrichment Centre), operacionalizado na África do Sul para professores de matemática, e os materiais didáticos (fichas de atividades e notas para o professor). Para atender ao objetivo, esta pesquisa foi estruturada da seguinte forma: contextualização no âmbito educacional na África do Sul, um breve comparativo com o sistema educacional brasileiro, a apresentação do projeto educacional AIMSSEC e seus cursos e materiais desenvolvidos para a formação continuada de professores de matemática. Desta maneira, realizamos a seleção de dez fichas de atividades e, destas, quatro materiais de apoio ao professor (Notas para o professor). Na tentativa de compreender o embasamento teórico da elaboração dessas fichas, discorremos sobre a formação da aprendizagem, em especial o desenvolvimento do pensamento matemático. Obtivemos como resultado que as fichas de atividades e os materiais podem servir como apoio também aos professores brasileiros de modo geral e professores paranaenses em particular, pois atendem as especificações e orientações contidas na BNCC e, em especial, nas Diretrizes Curriculares do Estado do Paraná

Abstract: In this paper we present the international educational program AIMSSEC (African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Schools Enrichment Centre) operating in South Africa for mathematics teachers and the teaching materials (activity sheets and teacher notes). To meet the objective, this research was structured as follows: contextualization in the educational context in South Africa, a brief comparison with the Brazilian educational system, the presentation of the AIMSSEC educational project and its courses and materials developed for the continuing education of teachers of math. In this way, we selected ten activity sheets and, from these, four teacher support materials (Notes for the teacher). In an attempt to understand the theoretical basis for the preparation of these forms, we discuss the formation of learning, especially the development of mathematical thinking. We obtained as a result that the activity sheets and materials can also serve as support for Brazilian teachers in general and Paraná teachers in particular, as they meet the specifications and guidelines contained in the BNCC, and in particular, in the Curriculum Guidelines of the State of Paraná
