Abstract

Resumo : Para este trabalho foram coletados dados de todos os estudantes e todas as estudantes que ingressaram no curso de Física na Universidade Federal do Paraná. Foram utilizados somente os dados de estudantes desde o ano de 1986 até o ano de 2019 no primeiro semestre, para assim analisar a trajetória dessas pessoas dentro do departamento com uma ênfase nas alunas mulheres e tentar compreender o número reduzido delas neste curso. Fazendo um levantamento de dados e assim quantizar o quão reduzido é o público feminino em relação ao masculino no curso de licenciatura ao longo de mais de 30 anos. Pode-se concluir que o problema da falta de meninas no curso já está presente no momento de ingresso, visto que nossos resultados mostram que durante a graduação, o desempenho de homens e mulheres tendem a ser parecidos e que ambos têm a mesma tendência a desistência.

ABstract: In this work we had surveyed the data referring to all the students who begun the Physics course at the Federal University of Paraná between the years of 1986 and 2019. Analyzing the data by considering only the first semester, we tracked the performance of those students through the course with special attention to female students. The idea was to identify the reasons why the number of female students attending the Physics course is small compared to the number of male students. Using those date we were able to quantify the proportion of the female audience relative to the male audience in each year of this period. We concluded that the lack of girls attending the course is already present at initial entry, since our results indicated that men and women showed similar performances during the course and that both have the same tendency to drop it out.
