Abstract

Resumo : Esta pesquisa discute a revitalização do espaço livre urbano pela implantação de um pocket park, analisando sua capacidade como um instrumento de geração de cultura. O embasamento teórico apresentado procura resgatar a historia por trás desta tipologia de espaço de transição, relacionando o com as suas aplicações contemporâneas. Fazendo dessa forma uma introdução à investigação sobre as experiências de renovação urbanas globais e locais, focando no Setor Histórico de Curitiba, cuja realidade será interpretada em busca de suas deficiências e potencialidades. O objetivo final é gerar diretrizes para a elaboração de propostas de um pocket park que tenha a capacidade de ajudar a revitalizar a área onde será implantado

Abstract : This research discusses the revitalization of the urban open space by the implantation of a pocket park, analyzing its capacity as an instrument of generation of culture. The theoretical basis presented seeks to recover the history behind this typology of transition space, relating it with the contemporary applications. Making this way an introduction to the investigation about the experiences of urban renovations in global and local scales, focusing the study at Setor Historico of Curitiba, whose reality will be interpreted to find its deficiencies and potentials. The final objective is to generate guidelines for the elaboration of a pocket park proposal that has the capacity of helping to revitalize his implantation area
