Museus de ciências e o ensino de física : aspectos motivacionais de visitantes e as relações com a disciplina escolar

Abstract

Resumo : Os museus de ciências são considerados espaços não formais de educação, desempenhando ações educativas que possuem características próprias e que podem contribuir com o aprendizado de seus visitantes. O objetivo desse trabalho é analisar os espaços de educação não formal como motivadores para o Ensino de Ciências, com foco para a Ciência Física. A pesquisa foi dividida em duas etapas, a primeira consiste em fazer um levantamento bibliográfico de investigações que já foram realizadas e publicadas nos principais eventos de pesquisa em Ensino de Ciências e Ensino de Física e analisá-los para identificar pontos de convergência e divergência com o que é proposto no presente trabalho. A segunda etapa foi a efetivação da pesquisa, que ocorreu no Projeto FiBrA, que faz parte do Centro de Divulgação de Física da Universidade Federal do Paraná e é um espaço não formal de educação. A pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar como o espaço influencia na motivação para o Ensino de Física dos alunos que o visitam, através do diálogo com os professores que trazem esses estudantes ao Projeto e da mensuração da motivação através de questionários aplicados aos alunos. Através desses instrumentos de pesquisa social, foi possível verificar que a forma como os conceitos científicos são abordados nas atividades desenvolvidas no Projeto, influenciam positivamente na motivação dos estudantes para o Ensino de Física e que os museus de ciências tem um papel significativo para a educação formal, pois facilitam a aprendizagem e contextualização dos conhecimentos.

Abstract : Science museums are considered non-formal spaces of education, performing educational actions that have their own characteristics and that can contribute to the learning process of their visitors. The objective of this paper is to analyze non-formal education spaces as motivators for Science Teaching, focusing specifically on Physical Science. The research was divided into two stages, the first consists in making a literature review of investigations that have already been carried out and published in the main research journals in Science Teaching and Physics Teaching and analyze them to identify points of convergence and divergence with the research that is proposed in the present work. The second stage was the realization of the research itself , which took place in FiBrA Project, that is part of the Universidade Federal do Paraná Physics Dissemination Center and is a non-formal space for education. The research aimed at investigatigating how the space influences the motivation for physics teaching of the students who visit it, through a dialogue with the teachers who bring these students to the project and measuring the motivation through questionnaires applied to the students. Through these social research instruments, it was possible to verify that the way scientific concepts are approached in the activities developed in the Project, positively influences the motivation of the students for the Physics Teaching and that the science museums have a significant role in complementing formal education because they facilitate learning and contextualization of knowledge.
