Abstract

Resumo : A presente monografia trata o tema do crematório pelo ponto de vista arquitetônico. O crematório foi, através da história, um edifício que recebeu pouca atenção dos arquitetos, apesar de ser um ambiente que necessita de especial cuidado, por abrigar pessoas em luto. A cremação ainda é muito pouco difundida no Brasil, onde é feita por escolha e não por necessidade, uma vez que a porção de terra ocupada pelos cemitérios não se configura em um problema. É essencial oferecer para aqueles que fazem esta escolha, crematórios que condigam com suas espectativas e necessidades. O trabalho tem como objetivo agrupar dados que auxiliem no projeto deste espaço, o que inclui informações sobre a morte, a cremação, a evolução espacial do crematório ao longo do tempo, o entendimento da influência do espaço construído no estado emocional do ser humano e estudos correlatos de obras contemporâneas. A interpretação da realidade é focada na cidade de Curitiba, sítio para o qual pretende-se elaborar um projeto na etapa seguinte

Abstract : This monograph addresses the theme of the crematorium by the architectural point of view. The crematorium has been, throughout history, a building that has received little attention from architects, despite being an environment that needs special care, for sheltering mourners. The cremation is still not usual in Brazil, made by choice and not by necessity, since the portion of land occupied by cemeteries does not constitute a problem. It is essential to provide for those who make this choice, crematoria that are consistent with there expectations and needs. The paper groups data to assist in the design of this space, which includes information about death, cremation, crematorium spatial evolution over time, the influence of the built environment on the emotional state of humans and correlates of contemporary works. The interpretation of reality is focused on the city of Curitiba, the site for which it is intended to be developed a architectural project in the next step
