Pacientes geriátricos e sua relação de higiene com a prótese protocolo

Abstract

Resumo : O tema desse trabalho discursa sobre as limitações de pacientes geriátricos associadas aos cuidados da prótese protocolo. O objetivo deste trabalho é realizar uma revisão de literatura que envolve as dificuldades motoras que acometem a terceira idade, dificultando a higienização e manutenção da prótese protocolo. Para alcançar esse objetivo, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura usando a plataforma de pesquisa PubMed, com palavras-chave (geriatria, odontogeriatria, prótese protocolo, prótese fixa implantossuportada, higiene na prótese fixa implantossuportada, prótese protocolo, doença de Alzheimer, doença de Parkinson, demência vascular, higiene em próteses fixas implantossuportada, manutenção em próteses fixas implantossuportada), e foram selecionados 48 artigos que se enquadravam no período de 2009 até 2023. Também foram selecionados 3 livros na língua portuguesa na base de pesquisa "Minha Biblioteca UFPR", com palavras-chave (geriatria e odontologia geriátrica). Nas considerações finais observou-se que a orientação dos cuidadores é fundamental para garantir uma boa higiene da prótese protocolo em idosos com comprometimento neuromotor. É necessário ser realizado um bom questionário para entender a individualidade do paciente idoso e planejar o tratamento reabilitador, levando em consideração a manutenção e higiene e, dessa forma, garantindo o sucesso do tratamento.

Abstract : The theme of this work discusses the limitations of geriatric patients associated with protocol prosthetic care. The objective of this work was to carry out a literature review that involved the motor difficulties that affect the elderly, making it difficult to clean and maintain the protocol prosthesis. To achieve this objective, it was conducted a literature review using the PubMed research platform with keywords (geriatrics, geriatric dentistry, protocol prosthesis, implant-supported fixed prosthesis, implant-supported fixed prosthesis hygiene, protocol prosthesis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, vascular dementia, hygiene in implant-supported fixed prostheses, maintenance in implantsupported fixed prostheses), were selected 48 articles that fit the period from 2009 to 2023. Also, three books in Portuguese were selected from the research database "Minha Biblioteca UFPR", with the keywords (geriatrics and geriatric dentistry). In the final considerations, it was observed that the guidance of caregivers is essential to ensure good hygiene of the protocol prosthesis in elderly people with neuromotor impairment. It is necessary to carry out a well-developed questionnaire to understand the individuality of the elderly patient and plan the rehabilitation treatment, considering maintenance and hygiene, and in this way, guaranteeing the success of the treatment.
