Abstract: The present work aims to treat pragmatic anthropology as a knowledge of the world (Weltkenntniß) developed by Immanuel Kant. From the analysis of his main text on anthropology, Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View (1798). Kantian anthropology, despite the secondary place it is given, has an extremely relevant position in the author's philosophy. The hypothesis of this work is that in the 1798 text, pragmatic anthropology is, in reality, a knowledge of the world (Weltkenntniß). Therefore, this research directs its efforts to understand this proposal, first explaining the relationship between the text on physical geography and the text on anthropology. In the second chapter, we focus the text on understanding empirical psychology and how its atmosphere was decisive for the beginning of the differentiation between it and pragmatic anthropology. In the last chapter, the work deals with pragmatic anthropology and its implications for the various meanings of pragmatic, aiming to understand how the concept of world knowledge (Weltkenntniß) is consolidated in anthropology and finds its expression in education.
