Remoção e substituição de implante osseointegrado fraturado : relato de caso

Abstract

Resumo: A fratura de implante dentário osseointegrado é uma complicação de baixa frequência. De acordo com o processo de osseointegração, a fratura é classificada como uma falha mecânica tardia. Apresenta múltiplos fatores etiológicos que podem ocorrer associados ou separadamente, mas que podem estar relacionados a três aspectos principais: deficiência técnica e científica do cirurgião dentista; condições sistêmicas e higiênicas do paciente e ao sistema de biomaterial empregado. Para obter o sucesso clínico e a longevidade dos implantes osseointegrados alguns princípios podem ser previsíveis no intuito de minimizar o efeito dessa complicação sobre eles. Para isso, é necessário conhecer a diferença entre dente e implante, entender o sistema de sustentação que circunda cada um, e então associar a carga oclusal que é transmitida. O presente estudo descreve um relato de caso clínico de fratura de implante dentário e a reabilitação após a remoção do implante remanescente, através de uma prótese implantossuportada.

Abstract: An osseointegrated dental implant fracture is a low frequency complication. According to the osseointegration process the fracture is classified as a late machanical failure. It presents multiple ethyological factors that may occur either associated or separately , but that are related in three aspects: to the dental professional technical and scientific deficiency, the patient condition both systemic and hygienical and to the biomaterial system employed. In order to obtain clinical success and the osseointegrated implants longevity some priciples may be predictable in minimising the effect of such a complication upon them. For such purpose it is necessary to know the difference between teeth and implant to understand the support system that surrounds each one, then associate to the transmitted occlusal charge. The present study describes a clinical study case of a dental implant fracture and the rehabilitation after the removal of the remaining implant through an implant supported prothesis.
