Contabilidade e sustentabilidade : subjetivações e sujeições de pesquisadores a partir da genealogia de Michel Foucault

Abstract

Resumo: Compreender os ambientes nos quais um sujeito se conforma é uma tarefa complexa devido as diversas nuances que cercam este, como ambiente, círculo social, formação ético-cultural etc. Entretanto, Foucault inaugura uma forma de historicizar estes sujeitos a partir das verdades circuladas e legitimadas, além da biopolítica que transpassam os corpos dos indivíduos moldando os comportamentos e desejos dos mesmos. No que tange aos pesquisadores, os poderes disciplinares que envolvem o maquinário acadêmico, além dos discursos produzidos pelos demais integrantes da área em que atuam produzem estes saberes-poderes. O estudo apresentou como objetivo compreender o conjunto de representações discursivas presentes nos arquivos selecionados para a análise, com foco na maneira pela qual o pesquisador que adota a sustentabilidade como linha de pesquisa dentro do campo contábil no Brasil produz modos de sujeição e subjetivação. Para isto propôs-se a utilização do método genealógico preconizado por Michel Foucault e que toma por pressuposto abandonar as buscas das origens, da noção de substância transcendental em um primeiro momento e focar em entender as relações ou jogos de dominação que compõem os acontecimentos de um ou mais arquivos. Neste sentido, partindo da episteme pós-estruturalista, o estudo propõe verificar os arquivos da sustentabilidade, dos pesquisadores da temática de sustentabilidade na contabilidade e da produção científica destes. Para isto selecionou-se as formações discursivas e suas (des)continuidades em torno da temática de sustentabilidade, entrevista semiestruturadas com 6 pesquisadores selecionados no universo de programas de pós-graduação em contabilidade no Brasil e a produção científica dos mesmos que foi composta de um universo de 71 artigos. Os resultados indicam que os pesquisadores percebem a área enquanto hostil a estudos na temática de sustentabilidade na área e subjetivam esses discursos a partir da ressignificação de conceitos tradicionais, e.g. a definição de entidade. Enquanto sujeições os pesquisadores tendem a se sujeitar aos padrões discursivos legitimados para acessar periódicos de alto impacto, a pesquisarem outras temáticas ou a publicar em revistas com menor Qualis.

Abstract: Understanding the environments in which a subject conforms is a complex task due to the various nuances that surround it, such as environment, social circle, ethical-cultural training, etc. However, Foucault inaugurates a way of historicizing these subjects from the circulated and legitimized truths, in addition to the biopolitics that permeate the bodies of individuals, shaping their behaviors and desires. As far as researchers are concerned, the disciplinary powers that involve the academic machinery, in addition to the discourses produced by the other members of the area in which they work, produce these knowledge-powers. The study aimed to understand the set of discursive representations present in the files selected for analysis, focusing on the way in which the researcher who adopts sustainability as a line of research within the accounting field in Brazil produces modes of subjection and subjectivation. For this, the use of the genealogical method advocated by Michel Foucault was proposed, which assumes to abandon the search for origins, for the notion of transcendental substance at first, and focus on understanding the relationships or games of domination that make up the events of a or more files. In this sense, starting from the post-structuralist episteme, the study proposes to verify the archives of sustainability, of the researchers of the theme of sustainability in accounting and of their scientific production. For this, discursive formations and their (dis)continuities around the theme of sustainability were selected, semi-structured interviews with 6 researchers selected from the universe of graduate programs in accounting in Brazil and their scientific production that was composed from a universe of 71 articles. The results indicate that researchers perceive the area as hostile to studies on the subject of sustainability in the area and subject these discourses from the resignification of traditional concepts, e.g. the entity definition. As subjects, researchers tend to be subject to discursive patterns legitimized to access high-impact journals, to research other themes or to publish in journals with lower Qualis.
