Resumo: Originada da organização e união dos proeminentes intelectuais luso-brasileiros Paulo Barreto e João de Barros, a revista Atlântida: Mensário Artístico, Literário e Social para Portugal e Brazil é um dos mais reconhecidos instrumentos de aproximação luso-brasileiro do início do século XX. Criado no turbulento período entre os anos de 1915 e 1920, a revista se propunha a atender as demandas políticas e culturais dos dois países em seu tempo. Dentre os temas da revista se destacam a Primeira Grande Guerra Mundial, a diplomacia e o comércio entre os dois países. No presente trabalho, analiso não somente as pessoas e os temas presentes dentro da Atlântida, como também traço o contexto político, econômico, geopolítico e social dos dois países com base nos temas e comentários da revista Atlântida. Como resultado, apresento as motivações e direcionamentos efetuados pela revista, em conjunto com os eventos nacionais e internacionais que interferiam em seu contexto.Abstract: Originated from the organization and union of the prominent Luso-Brazilian intellectuals Paulo Barreto and João de Barros, the magazine Atlântida: Mensário Artístico, Literário e Social para Portugal e Brazil is one of the most recognized instruments of Luso-Brazilian approximation of the early 20th century. Created in the turbulent period between 1915 and 1920, the magazine aimed to meet the political and cultural demands of both countries in their time. Among the themes of the magazine, the First World War, diplomacy and trade between the two countries stand out. In the present work, I analyze not only the people and themes present within Atlântida, but also trace the political, economic, geopolitical and social context of the two countries based on the themes and comments of the Atlântida magazine. As a result, I present the motivations and directions made by the magazine, together with national and international events that interfered in its context.
