Adoção da manufatura enxuta pelo polo moveleiro do norte de Santa Catarina

Abstract

Resumo: Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a aplicação da Manufatura Enxuta no Polo Industrial Moveleiro do Norte de Santa Catarina, compreendendo as cidades de São Bento do Sul, Rio Negrinho e Campo Alegre, o seu estágio de progresso, as suas dificuldades e os pontos de melhoria nesse processo de aplicação. Para isso foi realizada, entre os meses de novembro de 2020 a janeiro de 2021, uma pesquisa com um grupo de 27 empresas desse polo industrial englobando fabricantes de móveis de pequeno, médio e médio-grande porte. A lista de empresas foi selecionada com o auxílio das entidades de classe do setor moveleiro da região, de forma a considerar as diferentes realidades e tamanhos de empresas do polo pesquisado. A pesquisa utilizou um roteiro estruturado de entrevistas para auxiliar no levantamento de dados qualitativos, e investigou em detalhes o nível de aplicação e os resultados esperados sobre as ferramentas da Manufatura Enxuta apresentadas. Os principais resultados obtidos no estudo foram que a Manufatura Enxuta nesse polo moveleiro ainda se encontra em uma fase inicial de implantação e de entendimento dos seus princípios e ferramentas, tanto em relação à seleção e priorização das ferramentas quanto em relação a sua integração, de modo a atingir um melhor desempenho das empresas. Adicionalmente, o estudo também identificou as perdas industriais mais importantes (qualidade - tempos de espera) das empresas desse polo e as principais dificuldades relacionadas à implantação desse modelo de gestão, além de incluir recomendações, em nível técnico, para superar as lacunas identificadas e, em nível estratégico, para estruturar um suporte externo a essa iniciativa.

Abstract: This work was conducted with the objective of providing a North Pole furniture sector diagnostic regarding actions and applications of lean manufacturing tools analyzing its stage of progress, difficulties and points for improvement to be adopted by the furniture industry in the Region encompassing São Bento do Sul, Rio Negrinho and Campo Alegre - in the State of Santa Catarina. To this end, between the months of November 2020 to January 2021, a search with 27 small, median and median-large furniture industries were conducted to obtain a better view and understanding of the segment. The list of companies was selected with the help of the furniture industry leaders in order of evaluating the different realities within the industry. The research used a structured script of interviews to assist in the collection of qualitative data, in order to characterize the companies, and the questions contemplated in the script allowed to observe the level of application and the expected results on the Lean Manufacturing tools presented. The main results obtained in the study were that the Lean Manufacturing in this furniture pole is still an in initial phase of implementation and understanding of its principles and tools, both in relation to the selection and prioritization of tools and in relation to their integration, to achieve better performance by companies. Additionally, the study also identified the most important industrial losses of companies (quality - waiting time) in this pole and the main difficulties related to the implementation of this management model, in addition to including recommendations, at a technical level, to overcome the identified gaps and, at a strategic level, to structure external support to this initiative.
