Intuição artística e intuição da duração no pensamento de Henri Bergson

Abstract

Resumo: A noção de tempo como duração na filosofia de Henri Bergson é diferente do tempo marcado pelos relógios, diz respeito ao tempo real vivido por nós. Segundo o filósofo, acessamos essa temporalidade quando atingimos a profundidade de nosso ser, pela intuição, visto que nosso ser é, em profundidade, duração. O objetivo desse estudo é compreender como é possível a arte auxiliar na superação da visão relativa e superficial que temos de nós mesmos e da realidade, suspendendo, na medida do possível, as determinações do intelecto, no sentido de uma visão mais profunda e imediata. Para tanto, vamos investigar a diferença entre a intuição e a análise e quais os obstáculos impostos pela linguagem para a expressão da intuição. Caracterizaremos a intuição estética para uma melhor compreensão do método intuitivo e, em seguida, investigaremos, mais especificamente, como a intuição do artista se prolonga na obra e como a arte consegue evocar uma intuição no espectador. Por fim, examinaremos de que maneira a arte se aproxima da metafísica e como ela pode servir como um meio para uma transformação pessoal de visão de mundo.

Abstract: The notion of time as duration in Henri Bergson's philosophy is different from the time calculated by clocks, it concerns the real time lived by us. According to the philosopher, we access this temporality, when we attain the depth of our being, through intuition, since our being is, in depth, duration. The objective of this study is to comprehend how it is possible for art to help overcoming the relative and superficial view that we have of ourselves and of reality, suspending, as far as possible, the determinations of the intellect, in the direction of a deeper and more immediate vision. To do so, we will investigate the difference between intuition and analysis, and what are the obstacles imposed by language for the expression of intuition. We will characterize aesthetic intuition for a better understanding of the intuitive method, and then we will investigate, more specifically, how the artist's intuition is prolonged into the artwork and how art manages to evoke an intuition in the spectator. Lastly, we will examine in what way art approaches metaphysics and how it can serve as a means for a personal worldview transformation.
