No segundo capítulo tratamos, especificamente, do conceito do estádio do espelho. Abstract: The present master thesis aims to articulate the concept of the mirror stage and the constitution of the subject in autism based on one of the fundamental concepts in Lacan's work: the Mirror Stage, developed and modified over several decades and that crossed the Lacanian work on several occasions. To achieve this goal, there is first a journey through some selected Freudian works to deal with the constitution of the self and the body, through concepts such as narcissism, the objects of Lust and Unlust, as well as the double, the unfamiliar. In Freud's work, the constitution of the "I" and of the unified body are simultaneous, they are the same coin, because one cannot exist without the other. In the second chapter we deal specifically with the concept of the mirror stage. With it, it can be observed that the constitution of the subject is a multiple and complex process, which needs a mirror image of the self and the body as a basis, but which also needs to be crossed by the voice and the gaze of the Other, who is also responsible for transmitting the treasure of the signifiers, which allow the child to enter into social exchange mediated by language. In the middle of this scenario, in the third chapter, the concept of autism is added in order to think about how the constitutive process of autism would work. It is important to note here that the diagnosis of autism is increasing exponentially since the new DMS-5 classification, in which it has become a spectrum. However, in psychoanalysis, the diagnosis is distinct from DSM-5 and involves a series of clinical observations of how the child relates to parents or caregivers, to his or her own body, and to words. In the end, there is a presentation of clinical vignettes that aim to associate what occurred in practice with the theory on which the research aims to focus.
