Análise de supressões na arborização de ruas na regional matriz no município de Curitiba-PR

Abstract

Resumo : A arborização de ruas é um importante instrumento que contribui para um ambiente urbano agradável e exerce grande influência na qualidade de vida da sociedade. Para que haja harmonia entre o planejamento urbano e as árvores faz-se necessário a manutenção da arborização de ruas. Uma das práticas adotadas é a medida supressória, que consiste na eliminação de indivíduos arbóreos devido à fatores inerentes à própria árvore ou ao meio urbano. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as supressões realizadas na regional Matriz da cidade de Curitiba no período de 01 de agosto de 2015 a 30 de agosto de 2016. Para tal, foram analisadas as espécies e suas procedências, o número de indivíduos suprimidos, assim como os motivos das supressões e os bairros de maior incidência de corte. As espécies de procedência exótica com maior frequência de supressão foram Ligustrum lucidum, Lagerstroemia indica e Acer negundo, totalizando 28,31%, 13,76% e 8,99% dos casos, respectivamente. As espécies nativas mais suprimidas foram Tipuana tipu, Handroanthus spp. e Syagrus romanzoffiana, totalizando 11,38%, 4,23% e 3,97% dos casos, respectivamente. Em relação aos motivos das supressões, 50,53% dos casos foram em razão de comprometimento fitossanitário, 11,11% de comprometimento estrutural e 8,99% de conflito locacional. Concluiu-se que houveram mais supressões de espécies exóticas do que de nativas, fator que contribui para a conservação do ecossistema natural de Curitiba. O resultado dos motivos dos cortes mostra que é necessário maior manutenção nas árvores para que os índices de comprometimento fitossanitário sejam atenuados. O fato da maioria dos cortes serem inerentes à arvore e não ao ambiente urbano mostra que existe uma boa relação entre ambos.

Abstract: The street afforestation is an important instrument that contributes to a pleasant urban environment and exerts great influence on the quality of life of society. To ensure harmony between urban planning and trees, maintenance is required on street afforestation. One of the adopted practices is the suppressive measure, which consists in the elimination of arboreal individuals due to factors inherent to the tree itself or the urban environment. The objective of this study was to analyze the suppressions carried out in the regional Matriz of the city of Curitiba in the period from August 1, 2015 to August 30, 2016. For this, the species and their origins were analyzed, the number of individuals suppressed, as well as the reasons for the suppressions and the neighborhoods with the highest frequency. The species of exotic origin with higher frequency of suppression were Ligustrum lucidum, Lagerstroemia indica and Acer negundo, totaling 28.31%, 13.76% and 8.99% of the cases, respectively. The most suppressed native species were Tipuana tipu, Handroanthus spp. and Syagrus romanzoffiana, totaling 11.38%, 4.23% and 3.97% of the cases, respectively. Regarding the reasons for the suppressions, 50.53% of the cases were due to phytosanitary impairment, 11.11% of structural impairment and 8.99% of local conflict. lt was possible to conclude that there were more suppressions of exotic species than native ones, what contributes to the conservation of the natural ecosystem of Curitiba. The result of the cutting motifs shows that further maintenance is necessary in the trees so that the rates of phytosanitary impairment are attenuated. The fact that most of the cuts are inherent to the tree and not to the urban environment shows that there is a good relationship between the two.
