According to Medeiros and Macedo (2007), it was only in 2002 that collection was registered in the Brazilian Classification of Occupations. Through organization and collective actions, this activity has been transforming the collector and the female collector into a collective identity through the organization of groups, associations, cooperatives and social movements. The objective of this research is to identify support networks for collectors in the city of Guaratuba from May to August 2020. Through semi-structured interviews applied by the snowball method, we obtained data from 17 collectors. These data were analyzed using the network analysis method using the Gephi tool. Through graphs, it was possible to demonstrate the mapped support networks that bring together individuals and organizations, identified by the collectors. These networks show support around common goals, but also, from whom, the pickers themselves indicate that they would like more support and who does not support them. As a result of the survey, the institutions that most support the pickers interviewed were the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), the Volunteer Program of Paraná (PROVOPAR), a volunteer work (developed with the pickers) and the Waste and Citizenship Institute ( ILIX). The institutions that support the least are the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment (SMMA) and the Sanitary Surveillance (a body linked to the Secretariat of Health), and the institutions that do not support, but could support more, the pickers indicated the Health, the City Hall and the Education.
