Abstract: The present paper discusses the growth and yield modeling with the use of simultaneous adjustments, by the means of Seemingly Unrelated Regressions - SUR. Several equations are utilized to the estimate of yield of the plantation, some of which possess correlated-dependent variables. These two conditions generate correlated residues and this information may be used in the adjustments aiming to obtain lesser variances for the equations. This caused the evaluation, if the adjustments by systems reveal better statistics to the modeling compared to the growth and yield modeling independently to the prediction and forecast of the variables, needed to perform the estimate of plantation yield. Thus, this research had as main objective the testing of a system of equations to the growth and yield, with simultaneous adjustments, to the plantation of Pinus elliottii submitted to thinning, and compare the results with the independent adjustment. The data used to adjust the models were derived from plantation permanent plots of land located in Rio Negro and Campo do Tenente cities, in the state of Paraná. The Weibull density probability function was chosen to generate the diametric distribution. Therefore, two systems of prognosis were produced: The first was used to the prediction of the first thinning age attributes and the second to the projection of the second thinning age attributes or the harvest. The modeled attributes were the ones needed to the recuperation of the Weibull function in the ages of intervention by the method of moments. The independent adjustment of all the models were utilized, being the equations selected from the selection statistics, determination coefficient and standard error of estimate, to compose the equation systems, for the simultaneous adjustment. The equations adjusted through the equation systems reveal determination coefficient statistics and the standard error similar to the independent equation adjustments. However, the standard error of the coefficients was lower in the simultaneous equations, which revealed the equations as having lesser variance, that is to say, as being more efficient. The tested method allowed the simulation of growth and yield in plantations of Pinus elliottii throughout the rotation, generating appropriate results, mainly for the harvest where the better trees with the greater added values are harvested. Consequently, it is recommended the system of equation adjustments to the growth and yield production modeling of Pinus elliottii.
