Abstract

Resumo: A presente tese busca compreender as espacialidades gaúchas construídas pelo ser curitibano(a) gaúcho(a), a partir de suas práticas culturais no CTG 20 de Setembro, localizado no bairro do Pinheirinho, na cidade de Curitiba, no estado do Paraná. Para alcançar o nosso objetivo, optamos por realizar uma pesquisa etnográfica com os integrantes do CTG. O gaúcho constitui um povo que apresenta a sua cultura de um modo muito peculiar, portanto, tem o seu reconhecimento em qualquer canto do país. Há de se destacar a importância dos Centros de Tradições Gaúchas - CTGs na divulgação da história e costumes gaúchos. No entanto, embora exista uma vitrine que expõe a cultura, o que sabemos do gaúcho provém de uma leitura histórica, amarrada ao objetivismo. Diante disso, optamos por compreender o gaúcho numa perspectiva subjetiva, isto é, do gaúcho como ser que conforma simbolicamente o mundo pela cultura. Nesse contexto, entende-se que na medida em que o integrante do CTG conforma a sua realidade, por meio de suas práticas e saberes culturais, materializa a espacialidade gaúcha pela sua ação. Esse aspecto sustenta a análise geográfica desta tese. Com esta pesquisa, esperamos contribuir para o avanço da discussão epistemológica geográfica através do diálogo com a teoria das formas simbólicas de Ernst Cassirer. O referido teórico enfatiza que homem é um ser simbólico. Logo, o espaço da ação perpassa a expressividade, as representações e a capacidade significativa. Cada pessoa é livre no plano do pensar humano, assim conforma o mundo da ação e, ao atribuir sentido produz espacialidades especificas e significativas. Por isso, as narrativas constituem o cerne desta tese. Entendemos que o modo particular de cada indivíduo precisa ser compreendido e respeitado. A historiografia oficial tentou rotular o gaúcho. Abstract: This thesis seeks to understand the gaucho spatialities of people who self determine as is Curitiba (a) gaucho (a), from their cultural practices at CTG 20 de Setembro, located in the Pinheirinho neighborhood, in the city of Curitiba, in the state of Paraná. To achieve our goal, we chose to conduct an ethnographic research with the members of CTG. The gaucho is a people that presents its culture in a very peculiar way, therefore, it has its recognition in any corner of the country. The importance of the Gaucho Tradition Centers - CTGs in the dissemination of Gaucho history and customs must be highlighted. However, although there is a showcase that exposes culture, what we know about the gaucho comes from a historical reading, tied to objectivism. Therefore, we chose to understand the gaucho in a subjective perspective, that is, the gaucho as a being that symbolically shapes the world through culture. In this context, it is understood that member the CTG conforms the his reality, through his practices and cultural knowledge, and thus materializes the spatiality gaucha through his action. This aspect supports the geographical analysis of this thesis. With this research, we hope to contribute to the advancement of geographical epistemological discussion through dialogue with Ernst Cassirer's theory of symbolic forms. The theoretician emphasizes that man is a symbolic being. Therefore, the action space permeates expressiveness, representations and significant capacity. Each person is free in terms of human thinking, thus conforming the world of action and, by assigning meaning, produces specific and significant spatialities. Therefore, narratives are at the heart of this thesis. We understand that the particular way of each individual needs to be understood and respected.
