A faixa de fronteira brasileira sob o contexto da integração econômica

Abstract

Resumo: A faixa de fronteira é uma área delimitada geograficamente paralela aos limites internacionais sendo, por excelência, um objeto geopolítico pelo fato de ser considerada uma área de defesa desde o período colonial. Assim, a largura da faixa de fronteira foi modificada com o passar do tempo. Em 1850, a largura da faixa de fronteira era de 66 quilômetros. Em 1934, foi estendida para 100 quilômetros e, posteriormente, para 150 quilômetros, a qual se mantém até o momento. A partir do ano de 1990, com a abertura econômica e a formação de blocos regionais houve uma nova configuração territorial na faixa de fronteira porque mudou a relação entre espaço e poder. Alguns municípios fronteiriços passaram a serem estratégicos por formarem redes de conexão tanto comerciais como sociais, ligadas a outros países e/ou outros blocos. Além disso, a faixa de fronteira ganhou destaque por emitir fluxos de mercadorias próprios, não sendo apenas um local de passagem como até então vinha sendo tratada. Este trabalho apresenta as conexões das redes comerciais dos municípios fronteiriços com o restante do mundo, destacando a inserção deles dentro do circuito do comércio internacional, destaca-se que os municípios fronteiriços não estão apenas conectados aos países vizinhos. Também apresenta os casos de regimes aduaneiros especiais nessas regiões mostrando os efeitos na dinamização desses municípios.

Abstract: The border area is a geographically delimited area parallel to international limits being a geopolitical object because it is considered a defense area since the colonial period. Thus, the width of the boundary zone has changed over time. In 1850, the width of the border area was 66 kilometers. In 1934, it was extended to 100 kilometers and then to 150 kilometers. In addition, the border area was highlighted by issuing own goods flows, it is not only a place of passage as until then had been treated.This paper presents the connections of the commercial networks of the border towns with the rest of the world, highlighting the inclusion of them within the international trade circuit, there is the border towns are not only connected to neighboring countries. It also presents the cases of special customs regimes in those regions showing the effects in boosting these municipalities.
