Diagnóstico de áreas de preservação permanente com utilização de técnicas de Sensoriamento Remoto e SIG : estudo de caso Bacia Hidrográfica do Ribeirão Gomeral

Abstract

Resumo : As Áreas de Preservação Permanente foram estabelecidas por lei como alternativas mitigadoras dos impactos da intervenção antrópica, funcionando como reguladores dos fluxos de água, sedimentos e nutrientes no solo; e assim, formando ecossistemas estabilizados às margens dos rios, lagos e nascentes, de maneira a atuar na diminuição do escoamento superficial e no carregamento de sedimentos para os sistemas aquáticos que acabam comprometendo as funções sociais e ambientais desempenhadas por esses sistemas. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e dimensionar as Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APP) existentes na Bacia Hidrográfica do Ribeirão Gomeral e analisar as diferentes formas de uso e ocupação da terra as quais elas estão atualmente submetidas, utilizando-se de técnicas de processamento e interpretação de imagens de satélites em Sistemas de Informações Geográficas, de maneira que permitisse localizar e quantificar estas informações, para a constatação ou não da ocorrência de desconformidades ambientais nessas áreas (APPs).

Abstract : The Permanent Preservation Areas were established by law as alternatives to mitigating the impacts of human intervention, acting as regulators of the flows of water, sediment, and nutrients in the soil, and thus, forming stable ecosystems on the edges of rivers, lakes, and springs, acting in reducing the runoff and the loading of sediment to the aquatic systems, that end up undermining the environmental and social functions performed by these systems. This study aimed to identify and measure the Areas of Permanent Preservation (APP) in the Watershed of Gomeral River and analyze the different forms of use and occupancy of the land to which they are currently subject, using processing techniques and satellite imagery interpretation in Geographic Information Systems, to check where and quantify this information and verify possible legal breach environmental in these areas (APPs).
