Desvendando o espaço vivido da comunidade de Guajuvira e sua relação com o turismo, em Araucária, Paraná (PR)

Abstract

Resumo: A tese se sustenta na afirmação de que é necessário conhecer a constituição de uma comunidade como grupo cultural e as suas relações com o lugar para indicar caminhos pelos quais o turismo poderia encontrar melhor interação e adesão dentro da comunidade. Com base no aporte teórico da geografia cultural, perpassando a vertente fenomenológica humanista e seus estudos de percepção ambiental, com viés para as representações, a investigação se traduziu em desvendar o espaço vivido, como categoria de análise, da comunidade de Guajuvira, em Araucária, Paraná, na área de influência do itinerário turístico Caminhos de Guajuvira. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi investigar, sob uma perspectiva cultural, como está constituída a comunidade de Guajuvira, com ênfase para a relação das pessoas com o seu espaço de vivência e sua percepção sobre a presença do turismo. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e se desenvolveu por meio de técnicas de observação e de interlocução com moradores e gestores públicos. Após a pesquisa empírica, verificou-se que o conhecimento adquirido sobre a comunidade possibilitou: identificar o espaço religioso como um canal promissor para inserir o assunto do turismo no espaço comunitário; indicar o associativismo para promover uma maior interação entre os atores locais; levantar potencialidades turísticas que poderiam se somar ao desenvolvimento do turismo, entre outros resultados que contribuem para subsidiar uma gestão mais participativa da comunidade no turismo.

Abstract: The thesis relies on the assertion that it is necessary to know the ways by which a community is formed as a cultural group and its relations with the surroundings, which will allow tourism to experience better interaction and adhesion inside the community. Based on the theoretical contribution of cultural geography, through humanistic phenomenology and its studies on environmental perception with bias to representations, investigations translated into unveiling the lived space as a category of analysis of the Guajuvira community, in Araucaria, Parana, in the area of influence of the tourism itinerary known as Guajuvira Paths. The core objective of the research was to investigate, from a cultural perspective, the ways by which the Guajuvira community is formed with a focus on the relationship between its people and their living space as well as their perception of the presence of tourism. The research has a qualitative nature and was developed through techniques of observation and communication with residents and public officials. After an empirical research, it was concluded that the knowledge acquired about the community allowed to: identify the religious space as a promising channel to introduce the subject of tourism in the community space; propose associativism in order to promote better interaction between local players; survey tourism prospects that could add to tourism development, among other results that contribute to subsidize a more participative tourism management by the community.
