Oficina de geologia : uma proposta de educação continuada para professores(as) do ensino fundamental

Abstract

Resumo: A Oficina de Geologia é o resultado da integração entre a Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) e a Prefeitura Municipal de Curitiba (PMC). A Oficina é voltada para professores(as) do ensino fundamental da Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) da Prefeitura de Curitiba - PR, e traz como proposta temas relacionados as geociências. É uma iniciativa de introduzir os conceitos mais atuais de geociências nas escolas de nível básico. Com essa formação diversificada os professores(as) participantes podem ser capazes não apenas de reconhecer a importância de estudar geociências, bem como as suas aplicações, onde a ciência revela sua relação intrínseca com a sociedade e contribui na resolução de problemas cotidianos. Á vista disso, fez-se necessário avaliar os conhecimentos de geociências nas escolas municipais de Curitiba – PR e entender como os professores(as) que participaram da Oficina conseguem desenvolver os conteúdos em sala de aula. Através de entrevistas e questionários com os professores(as) que realizaram a Oficina de Geologia em 2018 e 2019; análises do Currículo do Ensino Fundamental de Curitiba (CEFC) e revisões bibliográficas foi possível compreender como o conhecimento de geociências pode ser inserido nas escolas municipais e fazer uma avaliação da Oficina de Geologia, como formação continuada capaz de atualizar e informar os professores. Embora saiba-se que trabalhar sistemas de maneira complexa tem sido um desafio na escola devido a sua abstração e linguagem, seu ensino permite que o aluno tenha uma perspectiva do mundo mais ampla, compreendendo os meios em que a Terra interage em seus diversos sistemas. Espera-se, assim, que além do conhecimento das geociências ser incluído nas escolas, ele seja feito de maneira simples, abrangente e sem erros conceituais básicos. Os professores(as) precisam ser capazes de desenvolver uma educação longa e duradoura. A Oficina de Geologia surge como uma resposta ao que propõem a literatura como para a inserção do conhecimento de geociências nos níveis iniciais da educação. Propõem-se que é de responsabilidade inicial da formação continuada que ela parta do interesse do professor, mas é necessário que tenha apoio de sua instituição de ensino, que por sua vez não pode fazer sem o apoio das universidades. Com as entrevistas e revisão bibliográfica detalhada do ensino de geociências no Brasil, nota-se que é urgente a atualização e revisão sobre as metodologias de aprendizado no âmbito das geociências. É conveniente que haja um aumento na a carga horária da Oficina, inserindo conteúdos relacionados a mapas, localização e escala, presentes no Currículo do Ensino Fundamental de Curitiba (CEFC) e na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). São necessárias novas proposta para que os professores(as) consigam compreender melhor o ciclo das rochas. É fundamental que o ensino de geociências se inicie nos níveis mais fundamentais de ensino e avance. É fácil identificar que boa parte dos conteúdos são abstratos nos anos iniciais de estudo não apenas para o aluno, quanto para o professor

Abstract: The Oficina de Geologia is the result of the integration between the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) and the Prefeitura Municipal de Curitiba (PMC). The Workshop is aimed at elementary school teachers from the Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) of the City of Curitiba - PR, and proposes themes related to geosciences. It is an initiative to introduce the most current concepts of geosciences in elementary schools. With this diversified training, participating teachers may not only be able to recognize the importance of studying geosciences, as well as their applications, where science reveals its intrinsic relationship with society and contributes to solving everyday problems. In view of this, it was necessary to evaluate the knowledge of geosciences in the municipal schools of Curitiba - PR and understand how the teachers who participated in the Workshop manage to develop the contents in the classroom. Through interviews and questionnaires with teachers who conducted the Geology Workshop in 2018 and 2019; analyzes of the Curriculum of Basic Education of Curitiba (CEFC) and bibliographic revisions it was possible to understand how the knowledge of geosciences can be inserted in the municipal schools and make an evaluation of the Geology Workshop, as continuing education capable of updating and informing teachers. Although it is known that working systems in a complex way has been a challenge at school due to its abstraction and language, its teaching allows the student to have a broader perspective of the world, understanding the ways in which the Earth interacts in its various systems. Thus, it is expected that in addition to the knowledge of geosciences being included in schools, it will be done in a simple, comprehensive manner and without basic conceptual errors. Teachers need to be able to develop a long and lasting education. The Oficina de Geologia emerges as a response to what the literature proposes as for the insertion of knowledge of geosciences in the initial levels of education. It is proposed that it is the initial responsibility of continuing education that it comes from the interest of the teacher, but it is necessary that it has the support of its educational institution, which in turn cannot do it without the support of universities. With the interviews and detailed bibliographic review of the teaching of geosciences in Brazil, it is noted that it is urgent to update and revise the learning methodologies within the scope of geosciences. It is convenient that there is an increase in the workload of the Workshop, inserting content related to maps, location and scale, present in the Curriculum of Basic Education of Curitiba (CEFC) and in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). New proposals are necessary for teachers to be able to better understand the rock cycle. It is essential that the teaching of geosciences starts at the most fundamental levels of education and moves forward.
