Características e problemas geoambientais : Ilha da Trindade

Abstract

Resumo: A Ilha da Trindade (IT) apresenta características geoambientais que tornam áreas suscetíveis a movimento de massa e blocos de rochas, a processos fluviais e de escoamento superficial, dinâmica costeira e até possibilidade de atividade vulcânica. Todos esses aspectos citados resultam em riscos à ocupação. Esse estudo teve como objetivo a realização do histórico de ocupação a fim de compreender detalhadamente as atividades antrópicas e sua influência nas atuais características ambientais da Ilha da Trindade, compilar as informações que caracterizam a geologia, vulcanismo, geomorfologia, dinâmica das ondas, vegetação, pedologia e clima, para compreender a evolução da ilha e seu provável comportamento futuro e a identificação em imagens e fotografias aéreas dos locais que são utilizados pela ocupação atualmente e das feições relacionadas a dinâmica natural da ilha que colocam a ocupação em condição vulnerável. Todas as informações aqui levantadas delimitam os parâmetros iniciais (inventário) para a avaliação de risco na IT que será desenvolvida como continuação do presente estudo

Abstract: Trindade Island (IT) presents geoenvironmental characteristics that make areas susceptible to mass movement and blocks of rocks, to fluvial and runoff processes, coastal dynamics and even the possibility of volcanic activity. All of these aspects result in occupational hazards. The objective of this study was to carry out the occupation history in order to understand in detail the anthropic activities and their influence on the current environmental characteristics of Trindade Island, to compile the information that characterizes geology, volcanism, geomorphology, wave dynamics, vegetation, pedology and climate, in order to understand the evolution of the island and its probable future behavior and the identification in aerial images and photographs of the places that are used by the current occupation and the features related to the natural dynamics of the island that put the occupation in vulnerable condition. All the information gathered here delimits the initial parameters (inventory) for risk assessment in IT that will be developed as a continuation of the present study
