Abstract: One of the guiding principles of Family and Community Medicine is the strengthening of the physician-patient relationship, with the possibility of establishing a bond between the physician and his patients under continuous care. The initial purpose of this qualitative research with a cartographic approach was to understand the effects that bonding and accountability between family physicians and users can produce in the physicians themselves. Ten semi-structured interviews were conducted with family physicians and residents of the second year of a Family and Community Medicine residency in a city in the South of Brazil. The analysis of the interviews took place under the reference of the micropolitics and, based on the reported experiences about the bond with the users, it was problematized the existence of a "medical identity territory", as well as the deconstitution of this identity territory, its "deterritorialization", in the direction of new "reterritorializations". It is proposed that in this movement of reconstruction of the identity territory, both physician and user start to move through the caregiving dimension of the meeting, where light technologies can be operated and new possibilities of care settings happen.
