O empreendedorismo dos empresários imigrantes brasileiros em Lowell : um estudo de caso

Abstract

Resumo: O presente estudo aborda a migração de brasileiros para os Estados Unidos da América, principalmente para o Estado de Massachussets, na cidade de Lowell. Destaca-se nesta pesquisa, a importância do empreendedorismo e da formalização do próprio negócio para tais brasileiros. É de bom alvitre ressaltar que esses brasileiros são oriundos de diversos Estados. Neste estudo verifica-se que os imigrantes que chegam na cidade de Lowell-MA, tornam-se empreendedores em várias áreas para as quais possuem experiência. Identifica-se também que a trajetória de vida de cada um desses empreendedores deu suporte para o êxito em seu respectivo negócio. Observa-se outrossim que a migração é opção para aqueles que, insatisfeitos, buscam novos caminhos por meio da educação, da segurança, enfim, qualidade de vida. Para a realização deste estudo, empregou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, a descritiva, e o estudo de caso. Sendo entrevistados 18 empresários imigrantes brasileiros. No que diz respeito aos resultados obtidos, sobre como empreenderam e como vivem em Lowell-MA, enfatiza-se o questionário aplicado, que demonstra a condição dos pequenos empresários e a trajetória destes em Lowel, MA. Conclui-se que a emigração de brasileiros para EUA, é um fato concreto e neste estudo, constata-se que foi satisfatório terem saído de seu país, para a conquista de objetivos. Abstract: The present study addresses the migration of Brazilians to the United States of America, mainly to the State of Massachussets, in the city of Lowell. In this research highlights the importance of entrepreneurship and the formalization of the business itself for such Brazilians. It is good to point out that these Brazilians come from several states. This study shows that immigrants arriving in the city of Lowell-MA become entrepreneurs in various areas for which they have experience. It is also identified that the life trajectory of each of these entrepreneurs supported success in their respective business. It is observed other than that migration is an option for those who, dissatisfied, seek new paths through education, safety, in short, quality of life. To perform this study, bibliographic research, descriptive research, and case study were used. 18 Brazilian immigrant entrepreneurs were interviewed. With regard to the results obtained, about how they undertaken and how they live in Lowell-MA, the questionnaire applied is emphasized, which demonstrates the condition of small entrepreneurs and their trajectory in Lowel, MA. It is concluded that the emigration of Brazilians to US, is a concrete fact and in this study, it is found that it was satisfactory to have left their country, for the achievement of objectives.
