Imigrantes brasileiros radicados no Paraguai (1970-2016) : relações socioculturais entre imigrantes e seus descendentes e a sociedade paraguaia

Abstract

Resumo: O tema central desta tese são as experiências dos imigrantes brasileiros no leste do Paraguai (1970-2016) e suas relações socioculturais com a sociedade paraguaia, em uma perspectiva de integração cultural. Como metodologia de investigação contou-se com recurso da História Oral, utilizando-se de entrevistas tratadas enquanto fontes históricas. Os depoimentos, permitiram alcançar dados e informações das diferentes gerações de imigrantes que se fixaram no Paraguai. Para tanto, apresentam-se os fatores que impulsionaram as migrações: a construção da Hidrelétrica Binacional de Itaipu, a modernização agrícola e os sonhos familiares de adquirir mais terras no Paraguai. Reconstruíram-se os tempos de chegada dos imigrantes brasileiros em solo paraguaio por meio de seus relatos: o estabelecimento das famílias na nova terra, as estratégias de sobrevivência e os primeiros contatos com os paraguaios. Trata-se também das experiências vividas por descendentes de imigrantes e do estreitamento dos contatos multiétnicos em espaços de sociabilidades, no período 1970-2016. Revelam-se aspectos socioculturais e comportamentais para compreender a forma como esses sujeitos e seus descendentes construíram suas identidades no Paraguai dando visibilidade ao sujeito histórico e à complexidade real da vida cotidiana, individual, da família e da sociedade. Conclui-se com uma reflexão sobre a ressignificação, do ponto de vista de que o sujeito histórico é capaz de assumir uma identidade fluida devido às suas práticas culturais e sociais que estão em constante movimento, fazendo surgir novas formas de viver, ver, pensar e organizar o mundo. E esses significados vão sendo compartilhados no conjunto de relações que se estabelecem ao longo dos processos sociais e históricos, em especial para os descendentes de imigrantes radicados no Paraguai. Abstract: The central subjectof this thesis is to analyze the experiences of Brazilian immigrants in the east of Paraguay (1970-2016), their sociocultural relation with the Paraguayan society, in a perspective of cultural integration. As investigation metodology was a recourse to oral history. Using interviews treated as historical sources. The testimonies alowed to reach data and information of different generations of immigrants who settled in Paraguay.In this sense, the factors that drove the immigrations forward are presented, being them the construction of Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, the agricultural modernization and the wish to purchase more land in Paraguay. The times when Brazilian immigrants arrived in Paraguayan lands were rebuilt through their accounts: when they arrived, the establishment of the families in the new lands, the survival strategies and the first contacts with the Paraguayans. The experiences lived by descendants of immigrants and the narrowing of multiethnic contacts in sociability spaces, in the period of 1970-2016, are regarded. Behavioral and sociocultural aspects are revealed, in order to understand the way these subjects and their descendants have built their identity in Paraguay. Visibility is given to the historical subject and the real complexity of everyday life, individual, of the family and the society. It is summed up with a reflection about reframing, from the point of view that the historical subject is capable of taking over a fluid identity due to their cultural and social practices that are constantly changing, creating new ways of living, seeing, thinking and organizing the world. And these meanings are shared in the circle of relationships established throughout the social and historical processes, especially for the descendants of immigrants settled in Paraguay.
