Museus do Paraná e Santa Catarina : formas de lembrar e esquecer a Guerra Sertaneja do Contestado (1912-2012)

Abstract

Resumo: Terminada a Guerra Sertaneja ou Movimento do Contestado, seguiram-se no decorrer de quase um século as muitas versões sobre aquele violento período da história brasileira, derivados de pesquisas historiográficas ou políticas de memória. Pelo viés oficial são muitos os espaços ou "lugares" disponíveis para se reproduzir uma determinada memória histórica. Dentre estes espaços, como os museus municipais, estaduais e particulares reproduziram ou ajudaram a construir a memória histórica do Contestado? Nos casos específicos de Santa Catarina e do Paraná, no fluxo e transformação de elementos históricos, políticos e culturais, como a guerra foi lembrada ou silenciada? Qual o protagonismo desse período histórico na construção das memórias e identidades entre paranaenses e catarinenses? Analisamos alguns museus que consideramos representativos da forma como a memória institucionalizada sobre o Contestado foi abordada. A rigor foram onze museus analisados, embora tenhamos citados outros, e sobre os quais fizemos apontamentos pertinentes ao assunto. Nossas análises partiram das coleções para responder a estas questões. Dedicamos atenção maior aos espaços expositivos, pois são os que mais diretamente expõem ao público a mediação efetuada pelas instituições museológicas. Outros tantos documentos foram consultados para melhor compreendermos as ideias que permearam a criação e os trabalhos dos museus entre os anos de 1912 e 2012. Abstract: After the Yokel War or the Contested Movement, the many versions of that violent period of Brazilian history derived from historiography or political memory research followed in the course of almost a century. By the official bias are many spaces or "places" available to reproduce a certain historical memory. Among these spaces, how did the municipal, state and private museums reproduce or help build the historic memory of the Contested? In the specific cases of Santa Catarina and Paraná, in the flow and transformation of historical, political, and cultural elements, how was war remembered or silenced? What is the role of this historical period in the construction of memories and identities between Paraná and Santa Catarina? We analyze some museums that we consider representative of the way the institutionalized memory about the Contested has been approached. In fact, there were eleven museums analyzed, although we mentioned others, and on which we made pertinent notes on the subject. Our analyzes started from the collections to answer these questions. We dedicate more attention to the exhibition spaces, since they are the ones that more directly expose to the public the mediation carried out by the museological institutions. So many documents were consulted to better understand the ideas that permeated the creation and works of museums between the years of 1912 and 2012. Keywords: Contested, Identity; Memory; Museology.
