Abstract : The general objective of this work is to bring ethics and education closer by reading the book History of sexuality 3: The care of the self, by Michel Foucault. It is proposed to interpret and understand the notion of self-care, which is one of the dimensions of Foucault's ethical and aesthetic thought, and to approach it with the theme of education based on three elements: constitution of a postmetaphysical subject (subject becoming ), creation of style criteria (aesthetics of existence) and soul formation (spirituality). It seeks to gauge how traces of the French philosopher's thinking can contribute to a critical review of the subjects of education. Taking care of oneself as an ethical and aesthetic experience is also taking care of the other, enabling a dialogic capable of problematizing hegemonic educational science.
