Retratos de detentas na fotoetnografia do espaço prisional : trajetórias, imagens e representações

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo refletir sobre as representações das detentas no espaço prisional e a construção de suas identidades no contexto de privação de liberdade, pelas narrativas fotográficas realizadas por elas próprias. Ao realizar a análise de seus registros fotográficos, foi problematizada a relação das imagens com a construção de suas identidades enquanto presidiárias, e também como essas imagens levam a compreender como se desenvolvem as relações de intersubjetividade no cárcere, mediadas ainda pela situação de estigma em que vivem essas mulheres. Uma das hipóteses que se defende é a de que a fotografia, no contexto em que vivem, constrói sentidos próprios, ao narrar, por meio de imagens, o olhar das protagonistas. A metodologia de pesquisa usada foi a objetivação participante e da fotoetnografia. Para tanto, foram realizados encontros com o grupo, que ocorreram durante o período de realização de oficinas de fotografia no Presídio Central Estadual Feminino em Piraquara, no estado do Paraná, durante o ano de 2015. Este trabalho foi espaço de pesquisa e de extensão, com uma iniciação à capacitação profissional em fotografia, certificada pela UFPR, visando o atendimento à remição de pena para as detentas. Uma das conclusões é que, no ato fotográfico, elas constroem um modo de ver as coisas e narram, especialmente, como querem que as coisas sejam vistas. Quando colocadas em movimento, em relação, muitas imagens contrastam dialeticamente com suas histórias de vida e o contexto na qual elas são produzidas, ou seja, o cárcere.

Abstract: The main objective of this work is to reflect on the representations of the inmates of the prison space and the construction of their identities in the context of deprivation of liberty, through the photographic narratives made by the inmates themselves. By analyzing their photographic records, the relationship between the images and the construction of their identities as prisoners was problematized, and how these images lead to an understanding of how intersubjective relations develop in prison, also mediated by the situation of stigma in which these women live. One of the hypotheses defended is that photography, in the context in which they live, constructs its own meanings, by narrating, through images, the gaze of the protagonists. The research methodology was participant objectification and photoethnography. To this end, meetings were held with the group, which took place during the period of photography workshops with the inmates of the Presidio Central Estadual Feminino in Piraquara, in the state of Paraná, during the year 2015. This work was a space for research and extension, with an initiation to professional training in photography, certified by UFPR, aiming to meet the remission of sentence for inmates. The conclusion is that, in the photographic act, they build a way of seeing things and narrate, especially, how they want things to be seen. When set in motion (in relation), many images contrast dialectically with their life stories and the context in which they are produced, that is, prison.
