De Nietzsche a Gilberto Freyre : uma leitura do perspectivismo filosófico esboçado na obra Casa Grande & Senzala

Abstract

Resumo: A pesquisa aqui proposta tem como ponto de partida fazer uma apresentação das Escolas do Recife, bem como demonstrar a recepção do pensamento nietzschiano por Gilberto Freyre na escrita de Casa-grande & senzala. Nesse sentido, buscou-se uma fundamentação do conceito de perspectivismo filosófico em Nietzsche para apontar como esse conceito orienta e atravessa a obra gilbertiana, publicada em 1933. Não seria exagero definir Gilberto Freyre como filósofo, mesmo que seja provável que o autor não aceitasse o título, uma vez que sua posição é demarcada, no texto como e porque sou e não sou sociólogo, antes de qualquer rotulação, como escritor. Todavia, para não incorrer no debate em torno do que venha a ser filósofo, especialmente na conjuntura brasileira, a tese elencou como objetivo promover uma leitura filosófica da obra gilbertiana, especialmente do escrito Casa-grande & senzala. Nessa perspectiva, a metodologia utilizada para análise e escrita do trabalho foi de caráter descritivo, bibliográfico e qualitativo, uma vez que tem como finalidade, por um lado, interpretar o pensamento nietzschiano a partir de estudiosos especializados no espólio de Nietzsche e, pou outro, uma leitura interna da obra Casa-grande & senzala com as lentes da filosofia de Nietzsche. Vale destacar, ainda, que foram realizadas incursões hermenêuticas apoiadas em um conjunto bibliográfico já consagrado como fortuna crítica. O resultado da tese, para além de um debate em que aproxima as fronteiras do pensamento social brasileiro com a produção de uma literatura nacional crítica, também ocorre na leitura filosófica de Casa-grande & senzala por meio de um perspectivismo nietzschiano: interpretação afetuosa da realidade social brasileira

Abstract: The research proposed here has as its starting point a presentation of the Recife Schools, as well as demonstrating the reception of Nietzschean thought by Gilberto Freyre in the writing of Casa-grande & senzala. Therefore, we sought to establish the concept of philosophical perspectivism in the light of Nietzsche and then point out how this concept guides and permeates Gilberto Freyre’s work published in 1933. It would not be an exaggeration defining Gilberto Freyre as a philosopher, even it is very likely that the author would not accept the title, since his position is demarcated in the text as and why I am and am not a sociologist, before any labeling, as a writer. However, to avoid engaging in the debate surrounding what constitutes a philosopher, especially in the Brazilian context, the thesis listed as its objective the promotion of a philosophical reading of Gilberto Freyre’s work, especially of the written Casa-grande & senzala. From this perspective, the methodology used for the analysis and writing of the work was descriptive, bibliographical and qualitative, since it aims at interpreting Nietzschean thought based on scholars specialized in Nietzsche’s legacy, as well as an internal reading of the work Casa-grande & senzala through the lens of philosophy. It is also worth noting that hermeneutic incursions were made, supported by a set of bibliographical material already consecrated as a critical fortune. The result of the thesis, in addition to a debate in which the frontiers of Brazilian social thought are brought closer to the production of a critical national literature, also occurs in the philosophical reading of Casa grande & senzala through a Nietzschean perspectivism: an affectionate interpretation of Brazilian social reality
