Slam poesia : experimentações poéticas e políticas na cidade de Curitiba

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa é uma contribuição aos estudos sobre poetry slam, competições de poesia falada, e as diferentes expressões desse movimento artístico-político contemporâneo na cidade de Curitiba. Por meio do acompanhamento das práticas artísticas de grupos locais, em especial o Slam Contrataque, apresento os elementos estruturais das competições e como elas estão articuladas a outras formas de expressão artística, como a literatura marginal e o hip hop. Ao enquadrar as competições enquanto acontecimento performativo, ancorado nas experiências dos/as poetas, investigo as narrativas biográficas dos principais interlocutores da pesquisa, o que permite compreender as dimensões da autorrepresentação e do depoimento, elementos estéticos fundamentais para esta prática artística. Por fim, apresento algumas contribuições para pensar o slam como um modo de resistência micropolítica, que articula arte e política, para narrar processos de desigualdade e exclusão social, bem como compartilhar utopias e germinar futuros.

Abstract: This research constitutes a contribution to the studies on poetry slam, spoken word poetry competitions, and the diverse expressions of this contemporary artistic-political movement in the city of Curitiba. By closely examining the artistic practices of local groups, particularly the Slam Contrataque, I elucidate the structural elements of the competitions and how they are interconnected with other forms of artistic expression, such as marginal literature and hip hop. Framing the slams as a performative event, anchored in the experiences of the poets, I investigate the biographical narratives of the primary interlocutors of the research, enabling an understanding of the dimensions of self-representation and testimony, which are fundamental aesthetic elements for this artistic practice. Lastly, I present some contributions for conceptualizing slam as a mode of micropolitical resistance, which intertwines art and politics to narrate processes of inequality and social exclusion, as well as to share utopias and cultivate futures.
