Honras e estratégias : formas de ser mulher no bairro das Flores

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa busca compreender o código de inserção e aceitação social (ou honra) dos moradores do Bairro das Flores-Periferia de Araucária, PR. Tal conhecimento é essencial para se entender quer as diferentes formas de ser mulher-casada, largada, solteira, viúva -, quer as estratégias por elas utilizadas para se deslocar entre essas categorias. Além de a honra feminina vincular-se à presença masculina, seja através do casamento, seja por meio da existência de uma memória de pertença vertical, ela também ancora-se no recato (ou comportamento omissivo/passivo) das mulheres. A honra masculina, por sua vez, solidifica-se pela valentia e poder de conquista, ou ainda pela eficaz utilização de suas duas máquinas, a saber: o revólver ou outro utensílio de briga e o pênis. Per se a construção de ambas as honras é conflituosa, pois se, por um lado, o homem se reafirma pela proteção de sua mulher e pela conquista de outras, por outro, a mulher deseja ser possuída e possuir um homem-além de manter a memória de sua ascendência. Da infidelidade masculina, por exemplo, emergem estratégias femininas que possibilitam diferentes formas de convivência entre as mulheres, sempre temerosas frente à separação e à marginalização social.

Abstract: This dissertation has focused in understanding the code of social insertion and inclusion (or honor) of the people in Bairro das Flores (close to Araucária, PR). This point precedes the understanding of the different ways of being a woman: married, abandoned, single, and widow, as well as the strategies they employ to move between those categories. Beyond being linked to the presence of a man (through wedding or the existence of a memory of vertical belonging), female honor can be grounded on coyness (omissive/ passive behavior). Male honor, in its turn, lives on courage and seduction power or, still, on the proper use of the two machines, i.e.: the gun, or any other weapon, and the penis. Per se the building of both honors is contradictory; for if, on the one hand, the man restates himself in the protection he offers to his woman and in wooing others, on the other hand, the woman craves to be possessed ant to possess a man besides keeping the memory of her origins. From male infidelity, for instance, emerge female strategies that make possible the several ways of living near to other women, always dreading to be abandoned and, therefore, socially excluded.
