O Baque do Acre : um estudo sobre uma prática musical de um grupo de seriongueiros(as) na região do Alto Envira

Abstract

Resumo: As transformações culturais e sociais na Amazônia no século XX são objeto de investigação por parte de uma ampla gama de perspectivas na sociologia, e nesta dissertação em particular, optamos por observar uma manifestação musical, os baques, observando os elementos culturais, econômicos e sociais que compõem a sua totalidade. Seu objetivo consiste em realizar um estudo sobre os elementos híbridos de uma prática musical de um grupo de seringueiros(as) na região do Alto Envira, Acre, e suas transformações à luz dos projetos desenvolvimentistas nacionais na região. Dentro do campo da sociologia da cultura, adotou-se a abordagem do materialismo cultural de Raymond Williams, na qual elege como essencial considerar a cultura como integrante de um processo de transformação que exige considerar os elementos estruturais sociais e históricos que engendram essas definições. A presente pesquisa baseou-se na análise da produção artística e as trajetórias de três seringueiros que testemunharam as transformações em questão, utilizando dados e informações provenientes de suas experiências para fornecer evidências que contribuíssem para a compreensão do fenômeno investigado. Como resultado, foi possível constatar como as dinâmicas de modernização econômica causaram significativas mudanças estruturais e culturais. Abstract: The cultural and social transformations in the Amazon in the 20th century are the object of investigation by a wide range of perspectives in sociology, and in this dissertation in particular, we chose to observe a musical manifestation, the thuds, observing the cultural, economic and social elements that make up its entirety. Its objective is to carry out a study on the hybrid elements of a musical practice of a group of rubber tappers in the Alto Envira region, Acre, and its transformations in the light of national developmental projects in the region. Within the field of sociology of culture, the approach of cultural materialism by Raymond Williams was adopted, in which it elects as essential to consider culture as part of a transformation process that requires considering the social and historical structural elements that engender these definitions. The present research was based on the analysis of the artistic production and the trajectories of three rubber tappers who witnessed the transformations in question, using data and information from their experiences to provide evidence that contributed to the understanding of the investigated phenomenon. As a result, it was possible to see how the dynamics of economic modernization caused significant structural and cultural changes.
