Arte e matemática, subsídios para uma discussão interdisciplinar por meio das obras de M. C. Escher

Abstract

Resumo: Com esta pesquisa objetiva-se, em primeiro lugar, salientar que as idéias são exprimíveis em imagens e promovem o desenho geométrico em nível de linguagem, à educação do olhar e do raciocínio visual, para se compreender o significado do que é visto por meio da Arte e da Matemática; também promovem o conhecimento matemático, sobre o espaço e a forma, pela identificação de conteúdos de desenhos geométricos em algumas obras de Maurits Cornelis Escher; contribuem à sistematização dos saberes das artes gráficas, desenhos geométricos e artes visuais em geral, de forma a se constituírem em uma fonte de conhecimento matemático; e auxiliam a pensar a inter-relação arte/matemática. Na pesquisa, foi enfatizada outra forma de pensar sobre uma possível inter-relação das áreas, Matemática e Arte, especialmente, a Arte presente no ensino da Matemática. Abordaram-se e discutiram-se temas necessários aos quais o professor deve analisar criticamente, em especial, a natureza do conhecimento artístico, o conhecimento do desenho geométrico, alguns conteúdos tais como espaço e forma, e a necessidade de se valorar a intuição, a criatividade e a associação de idéias na escola.

Abstract: With this research, There is an objective,in first place, to show that the ideas are express in images and they promote the geometric drawing to the language level, to the education look, and the reasoning visual to understand the meaning of what it is seen by means the Art and Mathematics; They promote the mathematical knowledge, as well, about the space and the form, by the identification of geometric drawings contents in some Maurits Cornelis Escher works; That they contribute to the systematization of the graphical arts, geometric drawings and visual arts knowledge in general. It’s a way they constitute them in a source of mathematical knowledge and they assist to think, to the interrelation between art and mathematical for the research. It has been emphasized, another way to think about a possible interrelation in this areas, the Art and Mathematics. In the other words, the Art’s presence in the Mathematics teaching. It has been approached and it has been argued about necessary subjects, which, the teachers must analyze critically, in special, the knowledge artistic nature. The geometric drawing knowledge, some contents such as space and form and the necessity to value it the intuition, the creativity and the ideas association at school.
