A reconfiguração do eixo transaariano durante o século XI : novos atores geopolíticos e o início da era da reforma islâmica

Abstract

Resumo: Com base na bibliografia que abrange o Norte de África durante o século XI, atravessando temas como o comércio transaariano, o Islam em África e as disputas político-econômicas na região, parte-se do pressuposto de que esse recorte espaço-temporal engloba o que pode ser considerado um período de inflexão na história norte-africana, do Islam e, indiretamente, de outras histórias a um nível afro-euroasiático. Pensando nisso, esta pesquisa objetiva: (1) levantar que mudanças foram essas, compreendendo-as em conjunto como uma ampla reestruturação do eixo transaariano; (2) identificar quais os principais fatores que levaram a essa reestruturação e investigar como eles interagem entre si (disputas políticas, mudanças dinásticas, conflitos religiosos, islamização do Sahel, crises econômicas, etc); (3) sistematizar essas informações e propor um modelo teórico apropriado para uma compreensão global dessas transformações, no sentido proposto pelos teóricos da História Global e da Teoria dos Sistemas- Mundo, a ser apresentado no formato da própria dissertação.

Abstract: Based on the bibliography that covers North Africa during the 11th century, crossing themes such as trans-Saharan trade, Islam in Africa and political-economic disputes in the region, it starts from the assumption that this space-time cut encompasses what it can be considered a turning point in North African history, Islam and, indirectly, other histories at an Afro-Euro Asian level. With that in mind, this research aims to: (1) bring up the main transformations, changes and events, understanding them together as a broad restructuring of the trans-Saharan axis; (2) identify the main factors that led to this restructuring and investigate how they interact with each other (political disputes, dynastic changes, religious conflicts, Islamization of the Sahel, economic crises, etc.); (3) systematize this information and propose an appropriate theoretical model for a global understanding of these transformations, in the sense proposed by theorists of Global History and World-System Theory, to be presented in the format of the dissertation itself.
