A identidade cultural afro-brasileira no Museu Municipal Atílio Rocco : um estudo sobre mudanças narrativas e propostas curatoriais (2010-2020)

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa debruçou-se em analisar as alterações narrativas e epistêmicas encontradas no Museu Municipal Atílio Rocco, em São José dos Pinhais/PR, sobre o tema da histórica, da cultura e da identidade afro-brasileiras, entre 2012 e 2020. Como recursos teórico-metodológicos foram usadas abordagens sobre raça e racismo, hegemonia moderna eurocentrada, memória, patrimônio, museu, exposições e os métodos da História do Tempo Presente, da História Oral e do Roteiro de Análise de Exposições. Como resultado percebeu-se que entre os oito anos privilegiados no estudo, a entidade, por meio do seu corpo técnico, decidiu afastar-se das dinâmicas tradicionais e modernas do museu e conduzir um trabalho de Museologia Social, promovendo processo participativo, convidando membros da população afro-brasileira para participarem o processo decisório e, especialmente, operando um discurso de mais dignidade social sobre os povos negros da localidade.

Abstract: This research focused on analyzing the narrative and epistemic changes found at the Atílio Rocco Municipal Museum, in São José dos Pinhais/PR, on the subject of Afro-Brazilian history, culture and identity, between 2012 and 2020. As resources theoretical-methodological approaches were used on race and racism, modern Eurocentric hegemony, memory, heritage, museum, exhibitions and the methods of History of the Present Time, Oral History and the Script of Analysis of Exhibitions. As a result, it was noticed that among the eight privileged years in the study, the entity, through its technical staff, decided to move away from the traditional and modern dynamics of the museum and conduct a work of Social Museology, promoting a participatory process, inviting members of the Afro-Brazilian population to participate in the decision-making process and, especially, operating a speech of more social dignity about the black people of the locality.
