Família e política : capital político-familiar no Podemos paranaense (2017-2021)

Abstract

Resumo: Um conjunto crescente de pesquisas tem demonstrado que as relações entre "família" e "política" no Brasil, apesar de antigas, seguem presentes e atuantes mesmo após diversas conjunturas pelas quais o país passou. Diante da permanência desse fenômeno na política contemporânea, pretendemos avaliar sua ocorrência em uma instituição surgida recentemente, o partido político "Podemos" (antigo PTN), analisando a direção do partido no estado do Paraná no período de 2017 a 2021. Nesse sentido, buscamos identificar quais recursos sociais asseguram a legitimidade política desses agentes e verificar o peso do "parentesco com políticos" no conjunto desses recursos. Para isso, num primeiro momento, realizamos uma prosopografia familiar dessas lideranças, situando-os em seus contextos familiares e identificando correlações entre seus recursos e suas origens familiares. Em seguida, analisamos apenas as atuações políticas dos parentes, valendo-nos do conceito de capital político-familiar, que segmentamos em dimensões para permitir comparações. Foi possível constatar a presença de famílias políticas em todas as comissões executivas estaduais do partido no Paraná no período analisado, ainda que existam diferenças substanciais entre essas famílias, bem como variações no grau de envolvimento de cada agente com sua própria família política.

Abstract: A growing body of research has shown that the relationship between "family" and "politics" in Brazil, despite being old, is still present and active even after the various conjunctures that the country has gone through. In view of the permanence of this phenomenon in contemporary politics, we intend to evaluate its occurrence in a recently emerged institution, the political party "Podemos" (former PTN), analyzing the party's leadership in the state of Paraná from 2017 to 2021. In this sense, we seek to identify which social resources ensure the political legitimacy of these agents and verify the weight of "kinship with politicians" in the set of these resources. For this, at first, we carried out a family prosopography of these leaders, placing them in their family contexts and identifying correlations between their resources and their family origins. Next, we analyzed only the political actions of relatives, using the concept of family-political capital, which we segmented into dimensions to allow comparisons. It was possible to verify the presence of political families in all state executive committees of the party in Paraná in the analyzed period, although there are substantial differences between these families, as well as variations in the degree of involvement of each agent with their own political family.
