Discutindo sexualidade e gênero : quebrando o tabu com Big Brother Brasil

Abstract

Resumo: A sociedade brasileira mergulha direta ou indiretamente na discussão da vida de pessoas anônimas ou famosas que estão confinadas num programa televisivo. A repercussão envolvendo o Big Brother Brasil nos mostra muito sobre os modos de pensar da sociedade brasileira. Assim, o tema desta tese foi a disputa discursiva sobre sexualidade e gênero em situações ocorridas no BBB 20 e 21. O objeto de análise foi um conjunto de postagens das páginas do Facebook do Quebrando o Tabu e do BBB oficial sobre as polêmicas envolvendo questões de identidade sobre sexualidade e gênero. A base teórica utilizada foi da "midiaculturas" e a metodologia de pesquisa foi mista, contemplando uma parte quantitativa e outra de análise qualitativa de conteúdo e enquadramentos. O objetivo geral é identificar e mapear os enquadramentos sobre o tema delimitado. Os resultados mostraram uma confirmação da hipótese de que as postagens da QOT tiveram um enquadramento contra hegemônico, enquanto as postagens do Big Brother Brasil em sua maioria reproduzem as heranças discursivas conservadoras quanto ao debate do tema.

Abstract: Brazilian society directly or indirectly immerses itself in the discussion of the lives of anonymous or famous people who are confined to a television program. The repercussion involving the BBB shows a lot about the ways of thinking of Brazilian society, so the subject-matter of this thesis is the discursive dispute about sexuality and gender on situations that occurred in the BBB 20 and 21. The object of analysis was a set of posts from the Facebook page Quebrando o Tabu and official BBB on controversies involving identity issues about sexuality and gender. The used theoretical basis was from "mediacultures" and the methodology was mixed, in other words, one quantitative part and another of content analysis and frameworks. The main objective is to identify and map the frameworks about the delimited theme. The results showed a confirmation of the assumption that the QOT posts had a counter-hegemonic framework, while the BBB posts mostly reproduce the conservative-discursive inheritances regarding the debate on the topic.
