Turismo, "autism friendly" e a oferta de serviços e opções de lazer no Brasil : oportunidades e desafios na inclusão de autistas e familiares

Resumo: O presente trabalho refere-se a um estudo das ciências humanas que investiga a relação benéfica do turismo para as famílias e as pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). Predominantemente, dentro do contexto social, o tema é abordado sob o prisma da oferta e serviços turísticos e das opções de lazer adaptadas ao público com TEA no Brasil. Para um melhor entendimento e conhecimento, usa-se a metodologia qualitativa a partir do estudo do tipo exploratório, desenvolvendo uma investigação sobre a oferta turística com ambientes adaptados a pessoas com TEA no Brasil. O objetivo deste encontro, turismo e TEA, deriva-se do fato do turismo ser um fenômeno social que pode ser um grande aliado a estas pessoas, visto que elas precisam desenvolver as habilidades de interagir socialmente. O déficit na interação social está no cerne do transtorno. As famílias com crianças com TEA são um público que tende a viajar, como todas as outras, mas, em especial, famílias com casos mais severos de TEA dão preferência para viajar para destinos turísticos com oferta adaptadaàs suas peculiaridades. O termo "AutismFriendly" refere-se a lugares amigáveis aos autistas, prática recorrente nos Estados Unidos e Europa, destinos nos quais existe oferta turística adaptada e certificada por órgãos oficiais. No Brasil, a realidade é outra, sendo ainda incipientes as iniciativas de adaptação da oferta,e as certificações são praticamente inexistentes. Compreendendo a oferta turística para este público como uma questão social relevante para sociedade, a proposta deste estudo é entender o cenário atual de pesquisas e oferta turística adaptada para pessoas com TEA no Brasil. Os resultados alcançaram os objetivos propostos, tendo como principais o avanço do conhecimento sobre a relação do turismo com o autismo, e o mapeamento da oferta de atrativos turísticos adaptados ao TEA no Brasil. Destaca-se os projetos investigados em profundidade: o cinema, o festival de surf e o Instituto Ico Project. São projetos que trazem luz à questão da importância, do direito e da necessidade que famílias e pessoas com TEA têm de vivenciar o lazer. Abstract: The present work refers to a study of the human sciences that investigates the beneficial relationship of tourism for families and people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Predominantly, within the social context, the theme is approached from the perspective of tourism offer and services and leisure options adapted to the public with ASD in Brazil. For a better understanding and knowledge, a qualitative methodology is used from an exploratory study, developing an investigation into the tourism offer with environments adapted to people with ASD in Brazil. The objective of this meeting, tourism and TEA, derives from the fact that tourism is a social phenomenon that can be a great ally to these people, as they need to develop the skills to interact socially. Deficit in social interaction is at the heart of the disorder. Families with children with ASD are a public that tends to travel, like all others, but, in particular, families with more severe cases of ASD prefer to travel to tourist destinations with an offer adapted to their peculiarities. The term "Autism Friendly" refers to friendly places for people with autism, a recurrent practice in the United States and Europe, destinations where there is a tourist offer adapted and certified by official bodies. In Brazil, the reality is different, and initiatives to adapt the offer are still incipient; and certifications are virtually non-existent. Understanding the tourist offer for this audience as a relevant social issue for society, the purpose of this study is to understand the current scenario of research and tourism offer adapted for people with ASD in Brazil. The results reached the proposed objectives, having as main the advancement of knowledge about the relationship of tourism with autism, the mapping of the offer of tourist attractions adapted to TEA in Brazil; the projects investigated in depth stand out: cinema, the surf festival and the Ico Project Institute, which mainly shed light on the issue of the importance, right and need for families and people with ASD to experience leisure.
