Abstract: The fertilization of systems is an alternative to increase the production of forage and, consequently, the animal performance in integrated crop livestock system (ICLS). The objective of this work was to evaluate how the fertilization strategies (systems fertilization, nitrogen and conventional) affect the production and the nutritional value of the forage and animal performance in pastures in SIPA in the Cerrado. The experiment was from March 2019 to July 2020, at the Guarita farm in Rondonópolis - MT. Pasture was established after soybean harvest. The experimental design was randomized blocks with three replications in a 2x2 factorial scheme. The first factor was the time of fertilization of phosphorus (P) and potassium (K): during the harvest, during soybean (conventional fertilization) or in the off-season, during the pasture (system fertilization); and the second factor was nitrogen fertilization (N) in the pasture (presence or absence), during the off-season. Forage production showed an interaction between fertilization time with P and K and nitrogen fertilization in pasture. With system fertilization, there was no effect of N on the pasture. On the other hand, the system fertilization promoted an increase of 29% in the total forage production compared to conventional fertilization when nitrogen fertilization is not carried out. With conventional fertilization and with N in the pasture, the forage production was 41% higher when compared to the nonapplication of N. The presence of N promoted an increase in leaf blades by 10%, and a decrease in stalks by 7%. Nitrogen fertilization increased crude protein levels by 9%, although it did not affect the levels of neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and lignin. System fertilization increased the stocking rate by 11%. Nitrogen fertilization allowed an increase of 13% and 21% in the stocking rate in system and conventional fertilization, respectively. The weight gain by area increased 11% with the fertilization of system, in relation to the conventional one, when there was absence of N in the pasture. Nitrogen fertilization increased weight gain by area by 19% with conventional fertilization. System fertilization and conventional nitrogen fertilization in pasture allow greater forage production and animal production compared to conventional fertilization in pastures in ICLS.
