Passagem e progresso em Kant

Abstract

Resumo: Essa tese tem como objetivo analisar a possibilidade de uma passagem da liberdade à natureza no pensamento de Kant a partir da tese do progresso da humanidade. Para tanto, pretende-se fazer uma incursão pelas três obras Críticas e em vários de seus textos sobre História, Política, Antropologia e Educação. Partindo da defesa de que a humanidade se encontra em um progresso contínuo, tendo como pressuposto fundamental a relação intrínseca e, ao mesmo tempo, problemática entre os conceitos de liberdade e natureza, procuraremos questionar quais as implicações que esses conceitos revelam sobretudo na realização da passagem de um domínio para o outro. De modo mais específico, queremos entender de que maneira a passagem (Übergang) do domínio da liberdade para o domínio da natureza poderia nos ajudar a compreender essa noção de progresso. Procuraremos deixar claro ao longo da tese que Kant fala, nas duas introduções à KdU, que essa passagem poderia ser realizada mediante a faculdade de julgar. Por isso, tentaremos encontrar resposta para a seguinte pergunta: de que maneira a Filosofia da História kantiana nos ajuda a repensar essa mediação feita pelo juízo na terceira Crítica na passagem entre liberdade e natureza? Desse modo, nosso intuito é descrever de maneira sistemática algumas possibilidades e sentidos de passagem (Übergang) nos escritos kantianos, buscando defender a importância da Filosofia da História e da tese do progresso, argumentando que sem os textos da história não é possível compreender aspectos centrais sobre essa ideia de passagem. Assim, por meio de uma organização realizada em três partes principais, vamos explicar como a filosofia da história, a antropologia, a política e a educação podem representar modos de realização da passagem entre liberdade e natureza, demonstrando que as implicações resultantes da tese do progresso estariam conectadas diretamente com os conceitos encontrados nessas áreas de investigação. Abstract: This thesis aims to analyze the possibility of a passage from freedom to nature in Kant's thinking from the thesis of the progress of humanity . In order to do so, we intend to make an incursion into the three Critical works and in several of his texts on History, Politics, Anthropology and Education. Starting from the defense that mankind is in continuous progress, having as fundamental presupposition the intrinsic and, at the same time, problematic relation between the concepts of freedom and nature , we will try to question what the implications that these concepts reveal mainly in the realization of the passage from one domain to another. More specifically, we want to understand how the passage (Übergang ) from the domain of freedom to the domain of nature could help us to understand this notion of progress . We shall try to make it clear in our thesis that Kant speaks, in the two introductions to the KdU, that this passage could be accomplished through the faculty of judgment. Therefore, we will try to find an answer to the following question: how does the Kant's Philosophy of History help us to rethink this mediation made by the judgment in the third Critique in the passage between freedom and nature ? In this way, our intention is to describe in a systematic way some possibilities and senses of passage (Übergang) in the Kantian writings, seeking to defend the importance of Philosophy of History and the thesis of progress , arguing that without the texts of history it is not possible to understand central aspects about this idea of passage . Thus, through an organization in three main parts, we will explain how the philosophy of history , anthropology , politics , and education can represent modes of realization of the passage between freedom and nature , demonstrating that the implications resulting from the thesis of progress would be directly connected with the concepts found in these areas of research.
