Volunturismo rural em propriedades de agricultura orgânica : uma análise da oferta no sul do Brasil

Abstract

Resumo: O volunturismo praticado em meio rural nas propriedades de agricultura orgânica ainda é uma atividade pouco reconhecida como segmento turístico, sendo mais procurada especialmente por volunturistas internacionais como uma alternativa ao turismo convencional. Em outros países, como nos Estados Unidos e em alguns países da Europa, o volunturismo rural já é consolidado e comercializado como um tipo de intercâmbio. A intermediação entre o agricultor e o praticante de volunturismo rural conta com o WWOOF - World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, uma instituição com filiais em cento e trinta e dois países, que atua na captação de WWOOFer's - os praticantes de volunturismo rural - e na busca de propriedades rurais para os praticantes. Esta pesquisa, de caráter qualiquantitativa e com aspectos exploratórios-descritivo, buscou analisar a oferta das propriedades de volunturismo rural em propriedades de agricultura orgânica nos estados do Paraná, Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul. Dentre os fatores que foram pesquisados estão as motivações dos proprietários, as atividades desempenhadas pelos voluntários, a estrutura e a infraestrutura para recepcionar esses volunturistas e as adaptações realizadas nas propriedades para se tornarem um receptor de volunturistas. A pesquisa teve inicialmente uma pesquisa bibliográfica, utilizando de temas correlacionados na construção do referencial teórico. Uma quantificação foi realizada por meio de levantamento de dados, com o intuito de identificar o perfil das propriedades do Sul do Brasil. Esse levantamento foi realizado em duas etapas, sendo essas o resultado do questionário aplicado online, com os proprietários rurais e também com a análise dos dados disponíveis no site do WWOOF Brazil. A parte qualitativa da pesquisa foi realizada por coleta de dados, utilizando do questionário enviado, com perguntas específicas sobre motivação, necessidades e satisfação dos proprietários, assim como uma entrevista realizada com um proprietário rural, por meio de roteiro semi-estruturado. A análise dos dados revelou o perfil da oferta de volunturismo rural no Sul do Brasil, assim como as motivações dos proprietários em implantar a atividade em suas propriedades. Como conclusão, foram identificadas algumas deficiências na divulgação e intermediação entre proprietário e volunturista, assim como a falta de informações completas no site e uma melhor assistência tanto aos volunturistas quanto aos proprietários. Foi possível também identificar os principais pontos que poderiam ser mudados, tanto no site como também na forma como o produto volunturismo rural em propriedades de agricultura orgânica é ofertado. Abstract: The voluntourism practiced in rural surroundings on the properties of organic farming is still a little activity recognized as tourist segment, being more sought after especially by international volunturistas as an alternative to conventional tourism . In other countries, like the United States and in some European countries, the rural voluntourism is already consolidated and marketed as a kind of Exchange. The intermediation between the farmer and the rural volunteer practitioner relies on the WWOOF - World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, an institution with branches in one hundred and thirty-two countries, that acts in the capture of WWOOFer's - the rural volunteering practitioners - and in the search for rural properties for the practitioners.This research, quantitative and exploratory aspects characterdescriptive, sought to examine the offer of the rural voluntourism properties in organic farming properties in the States of Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Among the factors that were researched are the motivations of the owners, the activities performed by the volunteers, the structure and the infrastructure to receive these volunteers and the adaptations made on the properties to become a recipient of volunteers The survey had initially a literature search using related themes in the construction of the theoretical framework. Quantification was carried out by means of data collection, in order to identify the profile of the properties in the South of Brazil. This survey was conducted in two stages, being these the result of questionnaire applied online, with the landowners and the analysis of the data available on the website of the WWOOF Brazil. The qualitative part of the survey was conducted for data collection, using the questionnaire sent with specific questions about motivation, needs and satisfaction of the owners, as well as an interview conducted with a landowner, by using semi-structured roadmap. The analysis of the data revealed the profile of rural voluntourism in the South of Brazil, as well as the motivations of owners deploy the activity on their properties. As a conclusion, some deficiencies were identified in the disclosure and intermediary between owner and volunturista, as well as the lack of complete information on the site and a better assistance to volunteers about the owners. It was also possible to identify the main points that could be changed, both on site as well as how the product voluntourism in organic agriculture properties is offered.
