Resumo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer, desvendar, descrever e interpretar o repertório de saberes e fazeres que integram os sistemas de benzer das benzedeiras no município de Matinhos, litoral do Paraná. Buscamos compreender as relações de reciprocidade e as condições objetivas e subjetivas de reprodução dos sistemas de benzer, apontando as teias de reprodução/manutenção deste sistema, ou seja, seu horizonte de continuidade, mas também mostrando as tensões e dificuldades que o sistema apresenta. Buscando uma rota de aproximação com os saberes e fazeres das benzedeiras interlocutoras desta pesquisa, optamos pelo método etnográfico, baseado na observação participante na intenção de construir uma descrição densa do repertório de saberes e fazeres que integram os sistemas de benzer dessas mulheres. Como fontes de pesquisa, contamos a participação de três benzedeiras que residem e atuam no município de Matinhos. Concluímos que, o repertório de saberes e fazeres das benzedeiras refletem conhecimentos, valores e saberes próprios dos segmentos populares, num mundo que embora, epistemologicamente diverso, sofreu um processo de homogeneização sob o pretexto da 'missão colonizadora'. A permanência das benzedeiras no cotidiano dos moradores de Matinhos demonstra o reconhecimento de uma esfera essencial ao bem estar do individuo, o qual o saber biomédico não consegue acessar, o cuidado do corpo e do espirito do paciente. No entanto, importante ressaltar que a benzedeira não tem a sua prática como concorrente da biomedicina, uma vez que o oficio de benzer pertence a esferas diferentes, e compreende outros aspectos além da saúde física. Reciprocidade.Abstract: This essay aims to know, unveil, describe and interpret the repertoire of knowledges and doings wich integrate the blessing systems of healers from Matinhos, coast of Paraná state. We seek to understand the relations of reciprocity and the objective and subjective conditions in which the blessing systems reproduce, pointing out the reproduction / maintenance webs of this system, that is, its horizon of continuity, but also showing the tensions and difficulties that the system represent. Searching routes to approach the knowledges and doings of healers, interlocutors of this research, we have chosen the ethnographic method, based on the participant observation with the intention of building up a solid description of the repertoire of knowledges and doings which integrate these women's blessing systems. As sources of research we count on three healers who live and work at Matinhos. We deduce that the repertoire of knowledges and doings of healers reflect acquaintance and values from popular segments, in a world that, although epistemologically diverse, underwent a process of homogenization under the pretext of the 'colonizing mission'. Healers permanence in the daily life of inhabitants of Matinhos demonstrates the recognition of an essential sphere for the well-being of the individual which biomedical knowledge can not access, the care of the body and the patients spirit. However, is important to highlight that the healer does not have its practice as a competitor of biomedicine, since the blessing occupation belongs to different spheres, and comprises other aspects than physical health.
