Selah al Museka : uma etnografia das produções e práticas musicais palestinas

Abstract

Resumo: As produções musicais na Palestina e seus usos políticos são o tema central desta etnografia, fruto da pesquisa de campo realizada na Cisjordânia, Palestina, entre janeiro e junho de 2014. A questão da Palestina e a ocupação israelense dos territórios palestinos, há tempos se mostrou um tema bastante relevante no cenário político internacional. Neste contexto, há grupos musicais abordando temas como ocupação, opressão, resistência, luta, amor e cotidiano, através de gêneros musicais diversos como Rap, Rock, música tradicional, música eletrônica e "experimental", entre outros gêneros. Com isso, um dos tópicos principais desta etnografia é a circulação dos músicos palestinos por diferentes espaços, na formação de bandas, apresentações e eventos em geral, imbricados na conjuntura social e política local. Abstract: The musical productions in Palestine and its political uses are the main subject of this ethnography, through a fieldwork held in the West Bank, Palestine, between January and June 2014. The question of Palestine and the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, has long proved to be a very important issue on the international political scene. In this context, there are many musical groups and musicians covering topics such as occupation, oppression, resistance, struggle, love and daily life within various musical genres like Rap, Rock, traditional music, electronic and "experimental" music, among other genres. Thus, one of the main topics of this ethnography, besides the lyrics and different musical genres is the circulation of the Palestinian musicians from different spaces in the formation of bands, concerts and events in general, interwoven in the local social and political context.
