Rede e região - desmistificação do determinismo tecnológico : o caso da linha férrea Ponta Grossa - União da Vitória nos Campos Gerais/Mata de Araucária (PR)

Abstract

Resumo: Situado na regiao dos Campos Gerais/Mata de Araucária, o trecho entre Ponta Grossa e Uniao da Vitória registrou no início do século passado a construçao de um importante eixo férreo. Tendo como estratégias para sua implantaçao a conexao da porçao meridional do país aos principais pólos econômicos da época e r faixa litorânea, esta rede de infra-estrutura de comunicaçao consistiu em um fator favorável ao desenvolvimento mútuo das condiçoes socioeconômicas preexistentes e do movimento ferroviário regional, sobretudo, através do escoamento de erva-mate e madeira. Nessa contextura, o presente estudo se preocupa com a análise da ocorrencia da ferrovia na seçao abordada sob um enfoque nao determinista, ou seja, buscando demonstrar a relaçao entre o fato ferroviário e a regiao em que este se sucedeu. Para tanto, prioriza-se como corpo teórico central a discussao sobre a instalaçao e disposiçao espacial das redes técnicas, as diversas opinioes sobre o determinismo tecnológico e a formaçao de redes urbanas. Considerando que tais abordagens apresentam significativa relevância para o trato do objeto investigado nesta pesquisa, pretende-se articular suas idéias de base rs questoes empíricas da narrativa ferroviária na regiao, argumentando e proferindo explicaçoes sobre sua inter-relaçao com o espaço durante a sua fase inicial e na sua atual configuraçao espacial. Desse modo, acredita-se que durante todo o evento ferroviário na área estudada houve uma contribuiçao mútua entre regiao e ferrovia, sendo que a presença desta rede técnica se efetivou em funçao da existencia de vários fatores propícios para sua instalaçao e posterior desenvolvimento.

Abstract: Situated in the region of the Campos Gerais grasslands and the Araucária Forest areas the passage between Ponta Grossa and União da Vitória registered at the beginning of the past century the building of the important ferrous axle. Having strategies to your implantation the connexion of the south portion of the country tomain economic poles at the epoch and at coastland, this network of communication infrastructure consisted in a favorable factor to mutual development of the preexistent social and economics conditions and of the regional railway movement, especially, through of the export of Paraguay tea and timber. In this context the present study worries with the analysis of the occurrence of the railroad in the approached section under a non determinist emphasis, either, seeking demonstrate the relation between the railway fact and the region in that this happened. For this, totake priority to as body central theoretical the discussion about the installation and spatial disposition of the technical networks, the several opinions about the technological determinism and the formation of urbans network. Considering that such approaching present significant importance for the treating of the investigated object in this research intend to articulate its ideas at empiric questions of the railway narrative in the region, arguing and emiting explanations about your inter-relation with the space in your initial stage and your actual disposition spatial, believe it that during every the railway event in the studied area there was a mutual contribution between region and railroad, being that the presence this technical network effected in function of the existence of several favorable factors for your installation and posterior development.
