Dimensionamento do complexo soja no Estado do Paraná

Abstract

Resumo: A presença da cultura da soja é muito forte no Estado do Paraná, podendo ser observada no dia a dia dos paranaenses, seja nas enormes áreas plantadas com a oleaginosa ou, ainda, nos milhares de caminhões que cortam as rodovias do Estado, carregados de soja, com destino ao Porto de Paranaguá. No entanto, tratando-se de Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) do complexo soja no Estado, não se tem a dimensão de valor, de quanto vale tudo isso, quantos empregos existem nesse complexo, quanto da produção é processada no Estado, quanto é exportado ou o que o Estado tem a ganhar aumentando o processamento internamente. Neste trabalho, foi calculado o valor do PIB do complexo soja para o Paraná no ano-base de 2008. A metodologia utilizada teve como base a matriz insumo-produto da economia paranaense para o ano de 2008. Foram utilizados, também, alguns dados da PEA/IBGE. A partir dos dados, foi calculado o PIB do complexo e realizadas projeções de como seria se a soja produzida no Paraná fosse inteiramente processada antes da exportação. Esse é o objetivo principal deste trabalho: mostrar o quanto o Estado perde com a exportação de soja in natura. A análise evidencia que: o PIB do complexo soja do Paraná para o ano de 2008 ficou na ordem R$ 10,031 bilhões de reais, perfazendo um total de 6,484% do PIB total do Estado. Se fossem processados 100% da soja colhida no Estado, seria possível criar 63.000 empregos, além de aumentar o PIB em R$ 2,16 bilhões de reais, o que equivaleria a 1,4% do PIB total do Estado no ano de 2008. Abstract: Soybean crops are strongly present in the state of Paraná, and this is easily observed in everyday life of its inhabitants, being it on the large crop areas where the oilseed is cultivated or on the large number of trucks loaded of it that go through the roads headed to Paranaguá seaport. However, the soybean complex real amount of value, considering the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), was still unknown; how much it is worth, how many jobs there are on this field in the state, which part of the production is milled in the state, how much is exported or how much the state can profit by increasing the internal milling. This research managed to calculate the soybean complex Gross Domestic Product for the state of Paraná having as a base the year of 2008. The methodology was based on the Paraná economy input-output matrix for the year 2008. Some PEA/IBGE data was also used. From this data the complex's GDP was calculated and some projections about what the result of the complete milling of the soybean production in Paraná before exportation would be. So the main goal of this research was to discover how much the state loses with the exportation of soybean in its natural state. The analysis shows that the soybean complex's GDP in the state of Paraná in 2008 was BR$ 10.031 billion of real, corresponding to a total of 6.48% of the total state GDP. If 100% of the soybean cultivated in the state were milled, it would be possible to create 63,000 jobs, besides a GDP increase of BR$ 2.16 billion, which corresponds to 1.4% on the total state GDP in the year of 2008.
