Avaliação de resíduos florestais oriundos da exploraçao mecanizada da floresta tropical densa de terra firme

Abstract

Foi feita a cubagem de resíduos florestais, após a exploraçao florestal mecanizada de uma área de lOOha, em uma floresta tropical densa de terra firme, na Estação Experimental de Silviculttira Tropical de Curuá-Una do Centro de Tecnologia Madeireira da 5uperintendncia do Desenvolvimento da Amazônia (SUDAM),através de 3 técnicas diferentes. A primeira constou da cubagem de residuos de 50 parcelas fixas de 20x25m e teve por objetivo a quantificação de residuos em re1ação a falhas humanas e naturais. Foi estimado um volume de 143,2m³/ha ± 6.2%. A segunda constou da cubagem de resíduos de arvores exploradas segundo classes de DAP de 5cm,75crn,95cm e ll5cm. Para cada classe foram cubadas 6 árvores e estabelecidas as relações métricas existentes entre o DAP, volume, número de peças, comprimento dos resíduos e abertura de copa. Dos modêlos testados, as funções:

V = b + b1(l/DAP) b2(DAP) e V = b + b1(DAP) + b2(DAP)2

foram as que melhores ajustes forneceram,obtendo-se através destas relaçoes uma estimativa de 150m³/ha. A terceira constou da cubagem de resíduos através de transectos de 200m de comprimento cuja largura correspondeu ao comprimento médio das peças de resíduos que tocam uma corda estendida ao longo dos transectos. Com 38 amostras foi obtido um volume de 140 m3/ ± 14.3%.

It was made an evaluation of logging waste after logging operations in an area of 100ha, in a dense tropical forest of high land, at the Research Station of Tropical Silviculture of Curuá-Una, belonging to the Wood Tecnology Center of SUDAM, using three different techniques. The first technique was based on the evaluation of logging waste through 50 sample units (20m x 25m),and had as goal the quantification of logging waste due to technical or natural fauts, which gave an average of 143,2m3/ha. The second one was based on the evaluation of logging waste from individual logged trees, considering DBH classes of 55cm, T5cm,95 cm and llScm. For each DBH class were measured 6 trees and analysed the relationships between DBH, volume, number of waste units, waste of units lengths and cannopy opening. Among the tested models, the functions:

V b+ b1(l/DBH) + b2BI-1) and V = b0+ b1(IJBH) + b2(DBH)

gave the best fits and the volume estimated by this method gave 150m3/ha. The third one was based cm the evaluation of logging waste through transects with 20Dm long, whose width was considered as the average lengths of the logging waste peaces which touched a wire extended along the transect. With 38 transects it was obtained an average of 14fJm3/ha * 14,6%.
