A linguagem da comunicação administrativa escrita do Banco do Brasil : uma interpretação sociolinguística

Abstract

Resumo : O Banco do Brasil sabe que a linguagem escrita utilizada na comunicação com os seus funcionários não está sendo entendida, e não ignora que isto tem trazido problemas para a Empresa. Com o objetivo de circunscrever essa linguagem problemática para estudo, ajuntamos vários textos administrativos produzidos no Banco. Acabamos tendo em mãos não apenas uma, mas várias linguagens, encampadas de um lado pelo estilo padronizado dos normativos e de cartas, e de outro pela linguagem coloquial e despojada dos memos, mensagens via correio eletrônico (BBmail). Neste trabalho, utilizando o instrumental teórico de Mikhail Bakhtin e com alguma inspiração da antropologia, fazemos uma interpretação sociolingüística dessas linguagens da comunicação administrativa escrita do Banco do Brasil. Tomamos essas linguagens como manifestações rituais e buscamos apreender o seu significado simbólico, a partir da análise de seus registros escritos.

Abstract : The Bank of Brazil is aware of the fact that the style of written language used in its communication with employees has not been successful and that this fact has arisen many problems for this enterprise. Aiming at setting some limits to this problematic type of language for study, we have collected various administrative texts produced in the. Bank. We ended up with not only one but various types of languages controlled, on one side, by the standardized style of the Normatives and letters and, on the other, by the colloquial and loose of the memos, which are messages sent by electronic mail (BBmail). In the present work, using the theorectical framework of Mikhail Bakhtin and with inspiration from the anthropology, we present a sociolinguistic interpretation of the languages of the written administrative communication of the Bank of Brazil. We take these languages as ritualistic manifestation and we make an attempt to grasp its symbolic meaning, from the starting point of the analysis of this written.records.
